What a wonderful place this is, if you just want a coffee and snack or want to.haveva lovey Country walk, feed the animals and sit have a picnic then this is the place. Why not book the room for a birthday party or family gathering. The staff are great, clean polite, fun. A must with the kids lots of seasonal activities and things to do.

Be better if you could hold and feed baby lambs and goats etc like some other farms

We love visiting Murton Farm. The staff in the tea room as just lovely, very accommodating particularly when you're juggling young children. You can't take pram inside the tearoom but it's right next to the car park and there is space to leave pram outside as well so that has never been an issue for us. Lovely walks. The animals are a big hit with thr kids and some great play areas for thr little one and big ones alike, from sand out, messy play, tractors to swing ball. We visit whenever we can, always a good day out.

This was the best venue for our son?s second birthday party! So many people commented on what an amazing space the tipi area was for a party! The mud kitchen provided was the biggest hit with the children and they absolutely loved our visit from the guinea pigs and tortoises! The staff were so friendly and helpful! I was amazed by all the options for ?add-ons? when we first booked? it was so hard to pick! We also loved that we had the freedom to include our own things too. We ended up doing a treasure hunt and a couple of stations for playdough and colouring-in ourselves and it all worked out perfectly. We were prepared for all eventualities with the weather but I think some of the guests were particularly happy that it stayed bright and dry for us! It would have been fab whatever the weather though! THANK YOU!

No dogs allowed, no exceptions. Shame really. Was looking forward to trying their cafe, and was disappointed after walking some distance along the road to get there.

Dogs not welcome. I can understand the nature reserve not allowing dogs but the cafe! We were camping near by and it would have been lovely walk to the cafe for a coffee and a treat but unfortunately no.

As a family we absolutely love Murton farm and it?s a wonderful spot for the wee ones. However this is probably the third or fourth time we?ve ordered food and been very underwhelmed. I ordered a panini for myself and one for my daughter and was told it would be about 20mins, which was fine?.almost 40 minutes later they arrived. I would understand if they were super busy etc but it wasn?t and it wasn?t an overly complicated order - a cheese and ham panini! Also to note, that the kids cheese panini was two tiny squares of bread, my daughter was hungry again by the time we left. The girls who work there are all lovely and were very apologetic, no complaints there. It?s just quite disappointing that every time we have been, there always seems to be a substantial wait for food regardless of how busy it is. I understand a lot of small businesses are struggling with cost of living, increase in prices etc so would never want to judge too harshly but the kids panini was shockingly small for the cost. A bit of a disappointment but the rest of the farm is absolutely fab and worth a visit.

Excellent family day out. Lots for kids to see and do. Great value. Cafe has superb scones and coffee. Staff friendly and helpful. Didn't get a chance to visit the nature reserve, so am looking forward to that next time!

My family's first time at Murton farm and it was a delightful visit! My 2 year old had loads of fun at the park and seeing he animals! His and my wife's favourite were the pigs! It was difficult to get him to leave because of how much fun he was having at the play park! After our time on the farm seeing the animals and enjoying the park, my wife and I went into the cafe and enjoyed a nice breakfast served by the lovely staff! It deffinetly wont be our last visit as for £2.50 to enter the farm it's an aosolute bargain!

This place has it all for a great family day out. Great open space, animals to see, trampolines, sand pit and lovely cafe area with extra hand cleaning facilities. We had the best day and would highly recommend it for all ages x

I would just like to say, the home made baking from The Murton Tearoom is delightful .. the scones especially the cheese variety including the plain ones are delicious. The size of them also are well worth the money. Great guys .. keep up the good work .. thanks

This is a lovely cafe location & nice & clean inside. We decided to go for lunch based on the fact that we have visited for cake & coffee several times & their cakes are lovely. Sadly it was a huge disappointment. Granted, their soup was lovely but my husband had the blt ciabatta with his & it was really poor. Meant to be bacon lettuce & tomatoe. One bit of bacon split in two in the whole thing, one slice of tomatoe cut in half & no lettuce just a morsel of limp leaves clearly from a salad bag. My husband hates complaining, so I quietly told the girl who served us & said for her to let the owner know. When we got to the till all she said was, "next time asl for extra bacon". If I had of been with anyone other than my husband, I would of refused to pay the full price but as I said, my husband hates making a fuss. I don't believe it's making a fuss, I believe you should get what you pay for. We understand times are tough & prices have to go up but ripping off customers is not the way to go. Sadly, my husband's says he will complain with his feet, by not going back. It's a shame to loose local custom from such a nice place & I would like to think this was a one off, but really there's no excuse for very meagre sparse food. It is more expensive at The Mill, but that's where we will be returning, as a sandwich/ciabatta is packed with filling & worth the extra cost.

Exceptionally friendly cafe, with all the staff going out of their way to be friendly. And they serve the best cheese scones that I have ever tasted!
