“Lovely stay ay Maryfield House Hotel, we've eaten there in the past, but this was our first stay. We had room 1 which had the most stunning views, I moved the chair to sit looking out of the window whenever possible - great to see the Northlink ferry arrive every morning. The accommodation is at a very high standard and the owners can't do enough for you. Breakfast was superb, and the evening meal was very good. On Sunday they just serve bar snacks in the evening as they've spent most of the day cooking and serving Sunday lunch - we couldn't possibly have done that as breakfast was good and filling. It is VERY popular with locals, so if you want Sunday lunch, be sure to book. Husband loves the whisky collection, and I want a wine rack like the one in the restaurant! Thank you very much, hopefully we will be back again! Lovely stay. p.s. please arrange for the Northern Lights to put in an appearance during our stay next time - we left on the ferry on Monday, arriving at home in the Midlands 24 hours later, and I woke up on Wednesday morning at home to see the most amazing photos from Shetland where the aurora had kicked of the season spectacularly! Why didn't we book a few nights more?”
