We stopped off for a coffee at this wee cafe / shop, great tasting coffee, never had foods, but it did look nice.
We sat outside in the sun, serving was very good, nice clean toilets and shop, which sold local product from meats to dairy, recommended to stop off, we will now we've found it.

We discovered Spotty Dog while staying at the nearby Dod Mill, who introduced us to their excellent coffee?and we?re so glad they did. This small delicatessen serves up high-quality bacon baps, great coffee, and a wonderful selection of cheeses. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable; I even tried Brunost cheese amongst their plethora of options and really enjoyed it. The ambience is warm and comfortable, and the range of local products makes it a real treat to explore. A delightful stop for food lovers.

Great coffee and amazing baking. The best bacon roll by a country mile. Very worth stopping in. Lots of deli favourites as well - big cheese selection.

Nice place to stop for a bacon roll and a coffee. Like that they do the fresh takeaway rolls. I usually try pick these up at local buchers but spotty dog is the lauder stop for me. Thank you!

Excellent selection of items for sale, especially Doddington cheese (which is well looked after before sale). Good wine selection, local honey, in fact everything you would expect in a good quality shop. Take away coffee and bacon rolls were also excellent.

Great little shop with a good selection of cheese, pate etc. You can also sit in (or out) for a coffee and cake. Definitely worth a visit

We were on our way home from 10 days in the Highlands and wanted a stop a coffee and a rest. I can't comment on the quality of service or the food or drink on offer as we were thwarted at the door. This was the first cafe we had found in all our travels that didn't allow dogs inside. The rain made a mockery of the outside seats so we were forced to go elsewhere. Oh the irony of naming your establishment the spotty dog cafe only to refuse entry to dogs....
