Visited here whilst driving the Causeway Coastal Route - highly recommended, we were greeted with a friendly welcome and the food and service was second to none. The food was delicious, with very generous portions!

I'm a yank first of all, I came in, probably stood out like a Canadian, and thought everyone kind of came off cold. So anyway, 2 hours later I was yelling obscenities behind the bar! Great place I tell ya!

If you?re looking for an authentic local pub with great fresh home-cooked style Irish food this is a little gem nearby Ballygally Castle. The food is simple, fresh, seems locally sourced or home grown. And the people are terrific. Definitely worth a stop.

Was in today with the other half and my young boys for a feed. The food was top class and very reasonably priced as we were in for the offer that was on. In most places that do offers the portions aren't great. No at Mattie's. Portions were top notch !
The young girl that was serving us is a credit to Mattie's. Very helpful and super friendly. Interacted with my older boy. You don't get that very much I find these days and was refreshing to see a waitress good at there job with a smile on there face. we most definitely will be back :)

My son took me here for lunch today and I found it lovely, warm, welcoming :-) The food was lovely and staff where very pleasant and friendly. look forward to visiting again soon :-)

Everything great. The waiters were very attentive and friendly, the food was quite good for being Irish and the place had pleasant music.
Parking: You can park right at the door, but behind it there is a large parking lot.

Just stopped for a pint not having visited for a wee while. Nice welcome which counts for a lot in my books and lovely staff.
