My first time in Larne, it's quiet because it's just opened for the night service, lovely staff (I found them all beautiful), the pizza was lovely & delicious obviously, size of the pizza has out done my Scottish visits ?, I did ask for the biggest after all. The walls decorated with train window design with Larne of old, very well presented. Family run business, I'm only here for a weekend break, yet recommend this business than McDonald's. Thank you for your hospitality yesterday ??

Only ordered pizza's for take out. Absolutely gorgeous. The only reason any other pizza place has any business, is because carriages closes early. If they kept a chef on and went uber eats, goodbye domino's and apache

Got a take out on a Saturday night. It took about 2 hours for delivery. I called after 1 hour 30 minutes and was told it would be another 30 minutes. They clearly forgot about the order. Food still isn't here so yet to be

My go to for pizza. The food is good and they have the best chips in the town.Staff are friendly and always smiling and laughing.I just wish they would invest and renovate the restaurant as it's been the same for Many years now and very tired inside

This place is famed amongst my Northern Irish family and I have only recently been able to visit, on previous trips home COVID was happening and the other time we tried to order a take away but the wait was too long.To finally be able to visit properly and sit inside and have the full experience is something else. It never clicked that the name related to trains I thought the old fashioned horse drawn things. The service is excellent, cheery staff and made to feel very welcome. The food is something else, I went for a gourmet don pizza after hearing so much about it and it did not disappoint, it's packed with flavour and so filling, I had a nine inch one and still couldn't eat it all, my partner went for a roast beef, and the beef was amazing, full of flavour and cooked to perfection, I nearly regretted my choice. Then came the bill just over £30 for 2 these prices don't happen in the UK.It's somewhere I will definitely be going back to.

This beloved Bistro, has been opened for a gd few yrs in Larne Town. Sadly all services have gone down hill fast as 3 yrs. No one seems to care anymore, money is there gain now, you can't blame every damned thing on the COVID. That's what there excuse would be, just like most places do now, no matter what field!

We haven't been to Carriages for a while because we knew from past visits that the service could be eccentric but we thought we would try it again. I didn't check my watch at the beginning but judging from when we left the car I estimate that we waited almost an hour for our meal. The excuse when we asked was that salmon took longer to cook. I checked when I came home and found that it only takes 4 to 6 minutes per half inch at the thickest part which means that it should have taken a maximum of 12 minutes. When it finally arrived both meals were good, well prepared and generous portions but by then our dining experience was ruined. We will not be back for a very long time again.

Very cool restaurant! The booths made from train seating was very unique. The service was great and the food was amazing. I had the steak and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned!

I live in Larne and would occasionally use Carriages and would recommend it to any visitors and locals alike. The food is freshly cooked so yes, you do have to wait a few minutes.I had the chicken Maryland which was lovely and fresh, the pizzas are also great!Staff are friendly and helpful. If you enjoy a beer it's also fully licensed !Parking: There is a car park 100 metres from Carriages, otherwise in the evening there is free on street parking.Wheelchair accessibility: All on the flat with staff to hand to help.
