Dreadful experience with this company. Where do I begin? Ordered the carpet weeks before then booked painters and chose paint colour based on carpet. Was called 4 days before carpet was due to be fitted to be told they couldn't supply. They were helpful in helping me choose another one. Fitting day arrived with no communication as to when to expect the fitting, had to contact them to ask. Carpet was fitted cheaply with cheap carpet bars glued down from tile to carpet. Huge amount of waste (could almost carpet another room) which the fitter informed us was due to David from Cross Carpets not measuring correctly. Fitters damaged wallpaper in our hallway. Complained and nothing was done about it, was promised compensation which never appeared. Complained about badly fitted carpet. Fitter came back, unfriendly, walked through the new carpet with shoes on. Fixed the bar then left smashing toolbox off our new front door. When I highlighted this to David he said he was genuinely surprised as never had any other complaints. I replied it must just be me then and never heard another thing. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Helpful and knowledgeable. David has the experience and the know how to provide what you need. The shop is small but displays a large range of carpets. Having been to some of the larger carpet warehouses I felt that the friendly, hands off approach coupled with insight, allowed me to make an informed decision.
