I've spent three nights there on business. Lovely people, lovely hotel and the meals are amazing, they've obviously put their heart and soul into the hotel and it shows, I'd highly recommend it.Rooms: Very well presented and spotlessly clean, comfy bed and has ensuite, excellent.Food & drinks: An extensive menu to suit all tastes, I couldn't fault the food or the service, just sorry I'm not staying longer.

Despite being a visitor to Largs for over 60 years I had never stayed here....it didn't disappoint !! Nice clean rooms, amazing views, great breakfast and good pleasant service from everyone. Decided to test the reviews I'd read before arrival regarding the steak dinners------ superb !! Was like putting a hot knife through butter, unbelievably tender and tasty.

Food was tasty, faultless. Sensible change of towels only on request. Side sea view south from the room, but not far from the busy road. Good weather and we enjoyed it.Walkability: A good walk up/down for the water front, a longish walk to and from Largs centre and beach.Noteworthy details: Not to be confused with Haylie House, across the road and up the hill.

The hotel has lovely views of the coast and is a quaint little place with lots of charm. Unfortunately, we were not treated very kindly by the owner and some other staff. Our first day my friend and I overslept for breakfast, which was absolutely our fault. Since we were in town for a wedding, we decided after that mishap that we?d inform the staff that we wouldn?t be having breakfast the rest of our stay as we had various wedding activities throughout the week. Apparently this didn?t sit well with the owner or manager (not sure the title) as they proceeded to tell the other arriving guests (who were all our friends arriving for the wedding) that some Americans were staying here and they can?t get up in time for breakfast. The most disappointing of all was that my friend overheard the staff gossiping about us, and then accusing us, of being the drunk Americans that came in loudly the previous night. It was hurtful to me because it was absolutely not true. We were in by 9pm as we had to get ready with the bride early the next day for the wedding. I never leave reviews like this. Ever. But the service truly dampened what was otherwise a lovely trip.

Stayed a few times for work. Rooms are clean and comfy. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Food is excellent!

Candle lit restaurant created a beautiful ambiance. We had a very warm welcome from the staff. The food was delicious, excellent quality and presentation. I was delighted that you are still given a hot roll and butter while waiting on starters. Wine was very nice, service was superb! We used to frequent here years ago as a family and hadn?t been since well before lockdown, it?s more expensive than other Largs eateries but the whole dining experience is first class! Hopefully will not leave it so long until we visit again.
