What a huge difference since it's been taken over. Food is amazing and the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. We arrived and were attended to straight away. It was a glorious day so we sat in the outdoor seating area which is now much bigger. The coffee here is the best I've ever had. I'm looking forward to trying one of the new takeaway pizzas? and enjoying an ice cream ? from the new machine.

Dearie me what a treat to discover this place. I have never seen cakes so big! The atmosphere was extremely homely and friendly. A very helpful young lady serving. The coffee was great. But the cakes, oh the cakes?

Absolute shambles. Ordered 2 coffees and a muffin. Half an hour later after asking twice, one of the coffees arrived. 10 mins later the muffin appeared then a further 10 mins until the final coffee was served. Staff seemed hopeless.

Terrible service it had a sign saying you have to ring a bell to get served. had to ring it three times before someone came out was waiting for 15 minutes and got charged double for sitting outside

17th June 2024. We had a fantastic meal..lovely soup..excellent fish and a perfect full Scottish breakfast. All cooked to perfection by chef... James I think his name was as didn't meet him personally? Food piping hot and generous portions .Great service and extremely friendly staff. Dog friendly which is great... Would highly recommend Bosuns Table to anyone on all we experienced. ?

Our first and last visit to the Bosuns Table ?.after taking our order the waitress still didn?t get the order correct ..big breakfast didn?t have bacon looked slap dash on the plate ?2kids breakfast looked disgusting serving pink sausages ..we had to request poached egg for both which were microwaved?? French Toast with bacon again no bacon ?.poached eggs on a muffin with black pudding replacing the ham was floating in a creamy coloured liquid ?.ourBill was £53. 45p we should have refused to pay and relay our concerns on exit ?..however do not recommend any part of our experience at The Bosuns Table.

Food is great. Staff are so helpful. Will always try to accommodate. Parking is plenty. Lovely relaxing atmosphere.

Really sad to be writing this - only doing so in the hope that the management do something to turn it around - recent visit dreadful - not enough staff - nobody to serve - or clear tables - coffee like dishwater - ordered soup and when asked for my roll with it was told had run out - I asked for a piece of bread instead and was told could not have as not part of dish ? Gobsmacked !

My sister and I have been going here for years for a snack whilst walking in Largs. Things haven?t been great this year, very limited choice of cakes in particular. We went there today around 1pm and asked if they had any scones, we were told that unfortunately they didn?t have any, when I went to have a look at which cakes they had I saw a basket at the top full of scones! Just as I mentioned this to my sister the waitress appeared saying that management had ordered that no scones be sold between 1200hrs and 2pm!!! Shocking that management in this cafe dictates what customers can and can?t order! We left and went to weatherspoons where we had what we wanted and it was lovely and cheap ?

Told the offer was no longer available 2 for 1 breakfasts! Despite a hug advertising sign outside! Server told us it was 2 for 1 then manager told us no longer available when our bill came!

We were in for lunch, in a party of three, fish and chips were excellent also the fish was very fresh unlike a few that we have had recently, all good wishes to the friendly staff for a lovely afternoon. Would really recommend the bosun's table to all looking for a nice meal.
