Great quality of food, well prepared and carefully packed and delivered. Nothing to fault. We have been using you since we moved to Largs- a great asset to the area. Thank you Harry

Took our grandson for a ride on Calmac, decided to avail ourselves of the chippie as we got off the boat. Probably the best on the Clyde, fast service, freshly made, delicious. Our grandson could not get enough, if in Largs have some, not cheap but what is nowadays

The perfect chips on a cold but sunny November day! Hot, crispy, salted and vinegared to perfection...Great, friendly service and ketchup/brown sauce offered on the side. Perfect pick Mr up after a walk up Knock Hill!

We went here a couple times while staying in Largs. We had previously been here before last year. The fish and chips were very nice and full of flavour. The Pancho batter langoustines were also very nice. Great range in choices on menu too. Would recommend if staying in or around Largs.

Our first choice for a "fish supper" when holidaying in Largs. There twice in 5 days! The menu is so much more varied than most fish & chip shops, OK there's not so much of the pies & sausages but as that's not our thing anyway - it's great. Worth trying is the Panko crumbed Lemon Sole or Languistines, the battered smoked haddock and of course the straight forward haddock & chips. Fabulous

So,it was a lovely sunny day, beautiful setting watching the ferry boat race in and judder to a perfect halt!? loved the outdoor seating area, and not overcrowded on the promenade...and seagulls were well behaved! But the fish supper was delish, crispy crisp batter ,freshly cooked melt in the mouth fish, fried to perfection...and the chips, done to a t....oh yeah and drizzled the ol' lemon juice over the fish... along with the coca cola...full fat!!!Definitely worth the visit ...it was Tuesday around 1 ish I'd say...would pop round again...they know how to do a proper fish supper. And very pleasant and polite to customers...not the usual whit dae ye waant !I'm kind of fussy about my fish suppers, but this is up there with Vincent's ....enjoyed very much ?

The best fresh fish supper imo. Succulent cod, piping hot and made to order. My wife loves all the menu and frequently orders something different. I wish I could order something different too however I find myself always getting the fish again lol. Just can?t see past it :)

My husband and I went to The Fish Works for fish and chips. We always go there as it is so good. Today was the opposite! The portions were much smaller and the chips were only warm. I messaged them to ask if they were under new management as I didn't reconise any of the staff. They assured me they were the same people? They said possibly the chips went a bit cold while waiting for the fish to cook? I think possibly the chips were hanging around and were cold when we got them. Very dissapointed so next time we will try a different fish and chip shop in Largs.

So disappointed. Strange oil taste ..not sure what sort toilet why use but it left a weird aftertaste. The fish was spoor quality v thin . Batter so greasy . When, squeezed oil dropped.from th batter. Chips were a nice consistency but again that weird oil taste. I prefer a more traditional Scottish fish supper with a thinner batter. Not for me .

As a local it pains me to say this, but your experience will depend on who the fryer is that day. Go one day, and it's a five start experience. I went yesterday (Thursday) and it was bang average. Fish could have done with a couple of minutes. It's just carelessness. There is a skill to this and no chippy can call itself top class unless it's consistent.

Visited in September on a Thursday lunchtime. Great to see they had a separate fryer for gluten free and had a great fish supper. Such a treat. Well done for remembering us coeliacs!

Although the fish was lovely and fresh, the batter was really quite tough ... and the chips were very, very tough indeed.

While visiting the Viking Festival my wife decided she would like some chips as a snack, we went to the Fish Works on the Esplanade and we?re not disappointed, prompt friendly service and the chips were done to perfection, the best we have tasted in a long time we will definitely be back and try a fish supper the next time.
