My husband and I stopped off in Langholm on 4th July. We were on our way home after being on holiday in Gattonside, Melrose.
It was around 1pm and it was raining very hard, in my haste to get my waterproof out of the boot of my car I manage to trap my index finger in my right hand when closing the hatchback!!
We dashed into the corner cafe to ask if there was a local pharmacy, there was actually one next door, but it was closed for lunch.
The lovely staff of the cafe and a gentleman who was a customer could see that I was in pain and bleeding, immediately came to my rescue. They sat me down gave me hot sweet tea and 2 paracetamol.
After about half an hour I was beginning to feel a lot better. So much so that Clive and I decided to have some lunch.
We both had egg & bacon rolls and mugs of tea. The rolls were delicious and were much needed after my accident.
The cafe staff were so very kind and friendly. One of the ladies even phoned the Health Centre which happened to be across the street, but the Health centre wouldn?t see me and told us to drive 20 miles to Carlisle & go to A&E!!
After we finished our food the pharmacy was now open, so we went and purchased some dressings, the staff in the pharmacy were lovely and helpful too.
They even dressed my poorly finger for me!

Stopped at the cafe as travelling south on A7. Received a pleasant welcome and although menu options were limited the quality of food was good. The cafe wasn?t overly busy and seemed to be a location for town regulars. I can recommend the soup and roll combo (Potato & Leek) and a chip butty. Price was very affordable as well.
Parking: Limited spaces in front of cafe but spaces area available behind cafe if travelling south (left)

This review is regarding the traveling ice cream man! While visiting family in Scotland I got to try some Pelosi's! We only have the ice cream man come during the weekends or in the summer. So to my surprise sitting by the fire in Scotland while looking out the window in the rain and at 40 degrees I hear something! There's an ice cream truck outside. What? In this weather? Not in California but hey I'm on vacation why not! Got a cone and it was amazing! Creamy icy scooped ice cream in a fresh waffle cone and flake stick on top! I heard it's a family recipe and no one knows the secret! What a nice treat in Scotland.
