rotten chippy. I've no idea what the fish is but it's not haddock or cod. dry and tastes unpleasant, couldn't actually finish it.

Stopped for lunch. Very quiet. Best thing was the lovely wee girl serving.. ordered sandwiches. Cheap bland bread which spoils any filling. If your charging almost £8 for a prawn ? upgrade your bread!

We ordered a large pizza and few weeks ago, it was came burnt. Tonight we thought it might just be an one of mistake... NOT... We ordered a large pizza again, Wednesday tea time, we specified a barbecue base with half and half toppings. I advised about the last one being burnt so wanted my order correct.
My hubby collected, we started eating and discovered no barbecue base underneath the toppings also the half and half were mixed in the portions the cheese was like rubber. As we had all started eating and kids hungry we let them continued especially with a child hungry and bed soon..
Needless to say the pizza was awful and most went into the bin and dog. Even our child said that it was rotten I didn't like the cheese or taste it was hard and rubbery mum. May I add the chips were not great either.
I telephoned to advise to be told by the manager, well you ate it so no refund or new one made. I hadn't asked for anything back, but an apology would've been good for there error and the way it was made. I advised I won't be using them again as this was terrible service all round. Shocking management behaviour this is no way to treat customers. Hope this helps you choose when buying takeaway.

Used to be a decent chippy recently went downhill as the owner would prefer people to go to the cafe/restaurant bit so dosent care about the chippy side. Lanark dosent even have a good chippy anymore

My fish from the takeaway was perfectly cooked, with a soft almost creamy and flaky texture in a lovely batter. The fritters were enjoyable too. The prices were as good value as you get in most chippies and more so for the high quality. The staff were friendly and pleasant. Though I hadn't used the restaurant I had a look in and it was tiny but immaculate and very cozy. Looks great for a family occasion where you could easily have the place to yourself with a smiling, polite waitress on hand. ??
Parking: It is right on the high street and lots of parking space. It gets very busy though daytime's but tonight, Sunday it was quiet.
Wheelchair accessibility: The takeaway had steps with narrow standing space but the restaurant was wheelchair accessible.
