The atmosphere was more of a local boozer than somewhere nice to eat.
Our waitress was quite rude and offered no suggestions when food was unavailable to my friend who was veggie, nor did she offer to ask the kitchen - we had to ask her if she?d ask.
The food was ok, but not worth £44 for two meals, one of which was a cheese salad.
I wouldn?t recommend

Cant quite get my head round this place. Nothing to fault really, but just a feeling. Decor nice, toilets clean and tidy. Service was friendly and we were seated quickly and given menus. We decided on our old favourite (fish and chips) and it was very nice (good sized portions). As we ate, I looked about. This was just between Easter and May, so quiet tourist wise. The place seems to do a lot of evening live music, so obviously a haunt for the locals and tourists staying nearby. Would I go again? Yes, probably.

As someone else has said it can't be all things to all people, the food was lovely, we were sat on a tiny table right next to another couple in an empty restaurant no one else came in until we were leaving, as for having nice chat about the day over food and drinks impossible, no problem with loud music and pool but not sure the 2 mix. Sure it suits plenty of people but not for us

Food was good, the haggis in the burger and the Caledonian chicken was great. Not big portions and the burger was very well done on one side, not huge for the price and staff seemed rushed and not quite with it even though it wasn?t that busy. Strange to sit everyone in the door to kitchen corridor and close to the loud bar area.

Strange 'local place' vibes and tutting older couples. Kids food is a rip off. But that might just be for tourists.
