The Crask is like a warm hug that welcomes you from whatever journey, good or bad, that brought to their beautiful slice of highland heaven. If you haven?t been since the Inn was handed over to Shane and Mac, you should. The Inn is bursting with life and comfort and joy.Shane has changed the pub offerings to be as good as any pub in Inverness while maintaining the feeling of being in your mates living room. Food and service are high quality while not being alienating and maintaining the feeling of being family. Good and filling local food.Come for a pint, a meal, a chat, a fire, the friendly atmosphere, a room, to hike or bike, just come to the Crask Inn

I stopped here while passing through on my motorbike and didn't expect to be able to pay by card. But in the middle of the Scottish landscape the digital world has arrived more than in Germany. The owner was very friendly and the food served was delicious. It was also nice and warm by the fireplace and the house dog really needed to be petted.

September 2023: Wow! Shane was super welcoming. IN the most remote pub in the UK, nothing was too much bother for 2 weary travellers. A roaring fire, a few pints of on tap bitter beer and he even allowed us to use the microwave and charge our power station. This is a wonderful pub in exceptional surroundings and well worth a visit if ever venturing up to the Scottish Highlands. Thank you so much.

Food & drinks: Excellent meal cooked by Shane. Neaps and tatties, lamb stew with fresh veg followed by apple crumble. Delicious.

Unfortunately it was closed for lunch with no notice on their website (just a sign outside their door). Rather disappointing as it was a wasted journey.

Amazing unique place and location. Had a great time here. Managed to get a room as the midges were terrible. No food was available as we hadnt booked ahead, but we were allowed to cook our eve meal in the bar on our camping stove.

Stopped in for a quick coffee and ended up staying for a good chat and a laugh. Great owner and customers from around the world. Real warm welcome for all.

This is often called Englands most remote inn. Now owned and run by the local church it was a real salvation to come across it on my cycle from Lands End to John O?Groats. A refuge from the weather and the midgies. Dinner bed and breakfast was great and a nice little collection of single malts in the bar added to the fun. Don?t miss The Crask Inn

The Crask Inn was the highlight of my stay whilst cycling from Gretna Green to John O'Groats with friends. Both Shane and Mac are very welcoming, the children are well behaved and their dog is so friendly. I would really recommend staying here as part of your adventure.

Must be even more remote than The Tan House pub in Yorkshire. Fantastic place. I could spend the rest of my days here.

Best pub for a stop on the bike: easy coffee, delicious food, freshly baked cakes. And Maggie their lovely dog is a gentle giant.

We were cycling from Lairg to Bettyhill and the rain was really heavy. The Crask Inn wasn't open as we were passing, but the owner let us shelter from the rain, use his toilets and sit beside the fire for a bit. Great stop. Thank you.

We stopped at the Crask Inn, on our cycle route north. Shane and his family, new management of the Inn are such good host. Very warm and friendly welcome, with a delicious 3-course meal. The location of the Inn is outstanding, in the middle of the flow with miles and miles of nothing. If you enjoy being in a remote place but still with comfort, this is the place to be. We will definitely return and stay longer next time.
