If it?s not happening to me i could not believe it!I have never met a nicer car mechanic before!He is not just very skilled mechanic but a rare kind of good person as well.My car was broken down middle of nowhere (engine failure) and I desperately called local services and Murchinson?s offered me help despite that everyone is busy just before Christmas. He wasn?t just offered help he even done it out of hours and my car got fixed the very next day! Excellent customer service! Really good price and service! I live in the area so, if anything will happen again I definitely will go there again! Thank you again i am really grateful! ??

Quick service, reliable, and very friendly! We were having some car trouble after visiting the Isle of Skye, but Murchison's Garage had it fixed in an hour! They told us exactly what was wrong, how they fixed it, and charged a fair price! It's also just by the small town so you have nice scenery, shops and cafes to visit while waiting!Services: Tires

Fantastic service!! ACHY says thank you too. Brakes are perfect now thanks to Murchison's Garage services. Saved us from a long relay home with the AA, and allowed us to continue with our nc500 adventure. In my 40yr old camper. Very knowledgeable genuine honest mechanic.

On a long trip up from Bournemouth to Skye in my motorhome, my front brake had seized and started making noises by Glasgow. I stopped overnight in Oban and went round every garage in town, but no one could help, I drove on to Skye and tried every garage on the way and no one could help, the sound got worse. I had a ferry booked to Skye so had to carry on. I drove to Kyle and tried another garage who could not help and they directed me to Murchison's garage. By this time I had pretty much destroyed the brake disc, and I was really worried how I was going to get this problem fixed and that my motorhome holiday was over before it began.Murchison's garage looked too small to help me so I was feeling pretty dejected, then out popped Donnie, looked at the van, diagnosed the issue and told me he would fix it. Donnie could not be more friendly and reasonable, he gave me a really fair price there and then and said he would prioritise us, do the work first thing and get us back on the road without delay to enjoy our holiday.We dropped the van at 8.30am, he was really busy but moved all his work around for me, which was amazing.We had a boat trip, returned at 2pm and everything was done and we were on our way that afternoon. He even did a few extra things for free. We had another 5 amazing days driving around Skye afterwards, thanks to Donnie. Donnie is a life saver. 5* is not enough.THANK YOU DONNIE!!!!

Donny is an honest man, like a lot of people in the area I was on holiday, I broke down before a 9 hour journey.He seems very clued up and knowledgeable at his trade.I was told straight up answers; experienced top quality service and at a very reasonable rate.He also kept me up to date the whole way through, for added piece of mind.For anyone without breakdown cover, I would recommend calling Donny up as he can tow you; and if he can fit you in then I couldn't imagine anyone being better to sort your car in Kyle.Thanks again.

I called in unannounced as my car had started making a fairly unhealthy sounding noise from the front wheel. The two guys were really friendly and helpful and worked out what was wrong. The car needed a new part which they didn't have but they said if l drove carefully l could get home to Glasgow (which l did). They also invited myself and my pals in to shelter from the rain while they looked at it. They wouldn't take any money when l offered. Really excellent service! ?

We had rented out out much loved motorhome to a fantastic couple and their 14 month old baby who travelled up to Skye. They had a major issue with clutch on day 5 of there 15 day trip, Donnie & his mechanics were able to fit our van in with no notice. Potentially the holiday could of been cancelled but they managed to source parts, working to 6.30am & get van back on the road in less than 48hrs. They also found a place for the family to stay that night as nothing was available to book anywhere. Friendly & Fantastic ?

Very friendly and helpful!! Our rental camper from Indie Campers had issues with the earth strap and could not start. They fit us in and fixed the issue when every other mechanic in the area turned us down as they were fully booked. We would have been stranded unless they had helped us. Thank you for the amazing service.

Donnie is the best! I visited Scotland in May and ruined 2 tyres on one of the awful roads near Kyle. Donnie towed it to his shop that night, found tires the next morning and at 1 pm had me on my way to catch the ferry from Ullapool! A thousand thanks for saving my journey and for being so pleasant and professional while fielding several other vehicle emergencies at the same time.

Four of us, all senior citizens, arrived in Skye on Thursday evening 28th June with an injector gone in our car. The following morning I rang 6 garages who weren?t able/prepared to assist us for anything from 5 days to 5 weeks. Donnie at Murchison?s was my 7th call. He was brilliant from word go and had a new injector for us by lunchtime and had it fitted in no time. He was very knowledgeable and was not expensive.
