Staff is very inattentive. We walked in hoping to eat something, staff were walking past us all the time, it was quite busy yes, but not even hello, not even - I'll be with you in a sec, we wanted to ask if we just take a seat or wait to be seated, nobody cared really. I stood face to face with the waiter at the till waiting for him to finish whatever he was doing so I can ask but never had any attention. Place was overcrowded so we checked outside for spaces, there are spaces but were wet, no tissues or anything so we can wipe it. When yet another waiter walked past us without paying attention we left. I can't give 5 stars for food that we never tried but also feel bad for 1 star, it looks aight on pictures

It can be slightly hit and miss, just really depends who is in the kitchen.
I've had a couple of visits where I've kind of pushed the food around the plate, covered it with a napkin, paid and left! I'm not a verbal complainer, I'm not confrontational, I just want consistency when I'm out dining...I go back again and again as there's just no other cafe in the area that offers the same comfort and ambiance in its surroundings.
It's unfortunate the food can sometimes let them down...I now know who the good cook is, seen them through the crack of the kitchen door! When they're working it's fantastic just about every time... Anyone else not quite the same. If only they could train the rest the same standards of cooking, the place would be even more famous than just for it's location. Problem is their level of knowledge is not easily taught to others...it's learnt by way of experience and time served! You can just tell, they're very good!
You also have to feel sorry for the guys out front...they do an amazing shift whenever I've been around but my god do they earn their money!!! It's strange a third person isn't alongside them more often serving customers so they can provide better all round experiences to their guests.

I always like to make a point to stop in and eat here when I am in town. The service is good, the food is comforting, and the desserts/puddings are a delight. It is the right place to be on a rainy day. Do try the carrot cake.

I had a burger and some local ale. The food is tasty, big portions, served with chips and a salad. Didn't wait long for it, the service was swift and efficient. would definitely go back

Very unassuming but an excellent full Scottish breakfast even with a vegetarian version! Would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately don't stay open very late, especially on the weekend so couldn't get any food. They did make the best iced coffee I've ever had though with a scoop of ice cream in it aswell!

Sweet little bothy. Plenty of parking close by so easy to access. The food was delicious and my breakfast roll was huge! Very generous portions. I also had a chocolate chip shortbread which was scrumptious too. Staff were friendly and the service was very quick. I chose to take away but there was plenty of space to eat in as well.

Stopped off today on the way to Dunvegan Castle. Glad we did, doesn?t look like much from outside but the food was fantastic. We both had a BLT which was the best one I have had. It was so big we couldn?t pick it up and ate with a knife and fork. All freshly made. We also got chips which were given to us by mistake, but we wasn?t charged for them, and they were really good too. Latte and a Cappuccino which were both great too. Excellent little place, staff were good too.
