“Wow, what a lovely hidden gem.We received a fabulous welcome and was so helpful. Food was fresh and tasty.(I am a fussy vegetarian and was very well hated for). Our accommodation was excellent, immaculately, clean, bedding and towels. all good quality. Hoping to revisit again.”

“Went to the storehouse as part of a staff night out. The food was brilliant. Every course. High standard especially given its was for over 100 people. I feel this review is deserved after my last review when the food was terrible, expensive and customer complaint handled poorly. I vowed I wouldn't return. New chefs and lovely food that now matches their lovely venue. Would now definitely recommend ?”

“We were touring the bottom of Orkney last Sunday and needed somewhere for lunch. I picked this place due to both being near where we were and the rating. When we got there, they were fully booked but managed to find us a table in the corner.The food quality was excellent. I especially liked the soup. The atmosphere is also really pleasant. The staff were excellent and attentive and it was excellent value for money. I would certainly recommend here for lunch, but on a Sunday you need to book.”

“Gorgeous little place with views of Scapa Flow and the Italian Chapel.
The baked goodies were enjoyed by us all and the coffees were delicious.
It was lovely being able to chill there but also have a nosey around the shop too.
Celina’s jewellery is stunning. We bought some for a gift and the recipient had already ordered more of her jewellery.”

“From an American perspective.The West End Guest House was tucked into a cozy location right off the main shopping and restaurant streets, was homey right away. The rooms are small and lack amenities like a fridge or microwave, same with stiff beds, but that seems to be the standard here. It took us a bit to figure out. A fun, Scottish style continental breakfast was provided and the staff was friendly and helpful. What an amazing introduction to Scotland! We accidentally forgot to book our final night there during a busy tourist time. Andrew helped us find another place immediately and even offered to take our luggage. If that isn't service, I don't know what is. The West End Guest House and all of Orkney was magical.Walkability: A hop, skip, and a jump from almost all the main shopping and restaurants in Kirkwall.”

“The hotel has been completely refurbished since my last visit and it has been done to a very high standard. They have a variety of rooms and all have modern facilities and beautiful decor. It is a complete transformation from a few years ago.”
