BEWARE OF TAKING YOUR CAR TO FARMERS KIRKCALDY- In the recent bad weather my car hit a kerb and the tyre burst. I got a mobile tyre fitter to replace the tyre and he recommended I go to Farmers Kirkcaldy to get the wheel alignment done, which I did. I drove out of Farmers and immediately realised something was not right so I returned. Warning lights were showing on my dashboard. They redid the wheel alignment. Driving home I still wasnt happy so returned the next day (twice) to be informed it was an electrical fault. I asked a local mechanic to have a look and he saw immediately that the suspension arm was bent, and the alignment should not have been done. Farmers should have troubleshooted this after my 1st/2nd visit! I honestly cant understand why Farmers could not see this. As a young driver I put my faith in mechanics to keep my car and me safe on the road. When I complained the person at reception didnt appear to be too bothered. This is the type of incident that gives garages a bad name. I will never use Farmers again.

No stars. Place is supposed to specialise in wheels & tyres - yet couldn't get mine off as they were ?too tight.? Jokers.

Great service today from John and everyone at Farmer Autocare!Got my car booked in at very short notice. He and the team repaired the faulty exhaust all in under two hours! That's not my car in the photo, it belongs to one of the mechanics. What a beauty!

Incredibly helpful guys who treated me with respect (as a female that doesn't always happen, sadly). My car had an engine warning light come on so I popped in for them to run a quick diagnostic test - they figured out the problem, fixed it, and I was on my way within a few minutes. Absolutely great service

Had a burst tyre mid-journey so went there to get it replaced. But they put the wrong size on and I didn't realise til later in the day after which it was too far to travel back.

Took my Focus in as it had a nail in the nearside front tyre as was told it would be £25 if they could repair it. 1 hour later I get a call, my car is ready. I took my car from Farmers to another garage for its MOT and I get an advisory for a nail in the nearside front tyre! The same nail Farmers just told me they removed and repaired.

Went in to question prices my girlfriend was quoted for her car. Was told that wishbones would be over £250 each for the parts to replace on a Polo. Absolutely ridiculous. Have since had two quotes from other garages coming in at £50 for the same parts. When I questioned the price, I was told that I could "fix it myself". Not impressed by customer service and won't be back.

I?m furious. The trust I have in farmer is now non existent.Yesterday I went to farmers as I heard a squeaking noise near my wheel - my usual guy was full, and I?ve used farmers before for my tyres so previously have used their services.I received a phone call to be advised front break pads and discs need badly done, as well as my rear being an advisory. Arranged for the front to be replaced due to the urgency presented by the receptionist, so that was £250. He then mentioned I need two front wishbones replaced which will be £260 each but decided to leave it because it?s a lot of money and was only an advisory. So, front and rear breaks as discs will be £250 each and the wishbones would be £260 each, which totals to £1,020.I mentioned the price to my partner who was interested to understand why, all of a sudden, a small noise has totalled up to this huge price. So respectfully, he asked why the parts are so expensive - which is our right to know - and was told ?it just is? then then met with an abrupt tone from the receptionist ?dae it yersel if you want?. That?s when I started the questions their intentions and decided to ask for a second opinion from a trusted mechanic.Turns out, wishbones don?t need to be replaced at all as the small piece that does need to be replaced is £15 for the part.I feel I was taken advantage of as I?m a young woman with no mechanical experience and my trust was taken advantage of. This is extremely disappointing and I would advise all young women to avoid Farmers Kirkcaldy Autocare because they obviously view women as airheads who can be fooled into paying ridiculous prices of repairs that aren?t even needed.
