We own a static caravan at kippford and pay the ark a visit mist times we are down there .we have not had anything we didn't like .I like the soup and sandwich deal especially the beef and horseradish sandwich .the scones are good as well .also good ice cream for the kids ?

Lovely cafe and shop. Delicious cakes and coffees. Good selection of produce in shop. Longer opening hours a bonus. Well worth a visit.

Superb location. Friendly staff. Small parking area nearby. Oat and soya milks available and VEGAN cakes (two choices - brownies recommended!). Limited plant-based food options.

Very charming place, both indoor (with two spezial places in the bay window) and outdoor (simple and thus preferred wooden bench and table, overlooking bay and inflowing river). They offer sweet and savory, both with great choices, including for veggies. We had scones and clutted cream (the last one :) and cheesecake, both very delicious. People are very friendly and accomodating, so to return soon...

Sadly, I don?t any pictures of the food which we found to be delicious. We had just finished the Kippford to Rockcliffe and return walk and called here for a supposed light lunch! I had quiche, salad and potato wedges and my wife had a Toastie, which also came with potato wedges and salad much to her surprise, all washed down with nice coffee and soft drinks. The service, setting and food was fantastic, we will certainly return.

A delightful spot offering lovely homemade fare, clearly prepared with care and passion. The dishes are simple yet crafted with genuine attention to detail. The outdoor seating area is particularly charming, providing a peaceful setting overlooking the tranquil inlet ? a perfect place to relax.

Homemade excellence! I didn?t know what to choose?everything looked amazing?but the apple pie was top-tier, and OMG the lemon drizzle cake was out of this world. Proper portions, proper flavour.
The service was warm, the craic was brilliant, and the quality-to-price ratio? Spot on. It?s rare these days to find somewhere that still believes in value for money?The Ark does. No overpriced gimmicks, just honest, top-quality food at fair prices. No wonder it?s always busy.
And the view? Looking out over the Solway Firth?worth visiting for that alone.

What a fantastic little gem of a tea room. The food was really good, loads of choice on the menu. Sandwiches are on really fresh bread and rammed with filling, scones are homemade and fluffy and the homemade cakes taste just like my Nannas, delicious. We had a table reserved in a lovely spot in the window overlooking the harbour. The tea room was busy but it didn't feel hectic. The staff are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I wish this place was on our doorstep as we'd be frequent visitors. We'll definitely be back.

Fantastic cafe overlooking the water.
The menu is so good and the prices extremely fair.
The cheese scone was delicious! Delighted also to get a GF toastie! Again?.delicious.
Coffee is quality as well.
Great service, friendly and professional.
If you visit the beautiful village of Kippford you have to come to this cafe!
