Had a small birthday get-together with friends in the upstairs function room at the Long House and it was a great night! Our server, AJ, was absolutely fantastic?so friendly, helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The rest of the staff were also lovely and made us feel really welcome.
The buffet food was delicious, plenty of variety, and everything was fresh and tasty. The whole place had a great atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed celebration.
Would definitely recommend it for a night out with friends or any special occasion.

We booked for two at 6pm for Christmas Day and had the loveliest time at the Long House with the staff.
Christmas Day menu was outstanding and service was spot on.
Loved every minute we had with you.
Thanks to you all - the waiting and kitchen staff too!
You should all be proud of what you offer and provide.

Food was absolutely phenomenal! Service could do with a little bit of improvement, just doing a check back a little earlier on food rather than when we're almost finished. I had the bao buns and the only criticism I had was there wasn't enough of the gochujang mayo, it was delicious and I just wish there was more than a small drizzle over top. The s'more skillet was really more-ish! Portion sizes are great and the cocktails are definitely worth it! Will be back for sure!

Recommend you keep an eye on the bill as they tried to charge extra for me changing the vegan cheese to regular cheese on my burger (it was a swap not an addition, real cheese probably cost them less, and they didn't say it would be extra in advance) - to be fair to them they did then remove the charge for the final bill when questioned, so that was good of them and I'm sure it was probably a mistake but just fair warning to check before you pay. A little bit slow getting food/drinks but staff were nice. I was disappointed that there wasn't a bigger selection of options for vegetarians/vegans/pescatarians but there are some at least. Desserts looked nice but I was too full to have one.
I had the beyond meat burger (with dairy cheese instead of vegan). It was alright. Chips were decent. Really didn't like the coleslaw. Not seen Heverlee beer on a menu in years - nice to have that again! Overall enjoyable but not incredible.

Always loved it and it continues to be the best place to eat out in Kilmarnock. Great selection of food, generous portions, fab!

The atmosphere and design of the place was beautiful ? but the size of the portions of food was considerably smaller than the last time I went, almost half! Was good quality food though! I had the bao bun. Fries were AMAZING ?
Dietary restrictions: Really great with gluten free food. You can chose from the menu and get glutard version or they have a whole extra menu for gluten free options!
Kid-friendliness: Very nice atmosphere, nothing loud or rowdy very nice ?

Pretty expensive for the size of the portions service is also pretty slow you order at the bar not table service and was stood at the bar 5mins before one 9f the staff served yet they weren't dealing with other customers just looked to be doing general prep the greeter eventually came to the bar and asked if anyone could assist me been here twice now last time was for lunch service was better but again the prices are high for what you get and the quality is good but not worth the inflated price
Parking: Local council parking just next to it so free evenings and weekends
