Went for a breakfast due to The Duke not being open. I asked for Sour dough avocado toast with poached egg and smoked salmon. The toast appeared unbuttered and the salmon was cooked. My wife asked for the same minus the avocado and salmon but with black pudding and tattie scone. They don't do tattie scones and the black pudding is served as sprinkly crumbs, not in little slices. Unusual outcome and ~£30 for 2 small snacks, 2 coffee and a can of Irn Bru. Decent, but unlikely to return.

Went for lunch to get out the house while studying, my bagel was lovely and the staff were friendly. Took a couple of cakes to go and they turned out to be great.

First time visiting today and will definitely be returning frequently. The food was lovely as was the coffee. Service was great with friendly staff and barely any wait time for our order to be brought out despite it being a large order and the place being busy. So impressed and a great atmosphere. A real diamond and credit to the town. So happy to have found somewhere nice to go to that?s local!

This is not a dog friendly place, at best it's dog tolerance as u can go in and spend ur money but then u have to sit outside with ur dog. NOT dog friendly!!!!

First time I had ever used The Coffee Press was very impressedI ordered the special sausage egg and chips as I was told it was amazing.Must admit I really enjoyed the meal.It came with mushroom sauce which was deliciousI also enjoyed my Americano Coffee
