What a gem of a furniture shop. Absolutely fantastic selection of quality, beautiful furniture. Despite the fact this shop is as wee bit above our price range all staff made us feel most welcome and allowed us to wander. If you're looking for quality and elegance this is the place to go. Great service the full way through. The lady in the showroom took the time to discuss what we wanted and provide recommendations without pushing a sale like so many other stores. Delighted with the delivery service as its usually a hassle to get anything delivered to our home but the team were in and out quickly, very polite and took away all rubbish. I called a few times to check on the status of our order as we were told end of January which was a long lead time so just checked in, always got a friendly response and the sofa came around the right time which was great.

Staff were very friendly and helpful instore. So we ordered 2 chairs a couch and a table lamp as we were assured we would have it before Christmas. Almost 6 months later we are still waiting; we have called several times to be told different things i understand regarding Covid-19 and things but it would be more helpful to keep customers updated if there order isn't going to be on time. Very disappointed.

We bought a couple of motorized recliner chairs and they came minus the batteries. We had to wait a few days to get these. Neither of the chairs work properly and we were told to contact the manufacturer, who told us to contact an engineer. The engineers did not manage to fix the chairs and the managers of the store were not interested. They had our money and couldn't care less. Would never buy from them again. Mason Murphy and McNeils offer much better service. UPDATE** We were left to contact an engineer ourselves and they could not fix the chairs. Excellent service from George Tannahill & Sons. My experience wouldn't encourage me to shop local, you don't deserve trade as you never bothered to follow up on our problem. Burying complaints is not dealing with them!!
