Terrible garage.Booked my 4x4 in as it was having issues changing gears. There was also an outstanding recall on the diff so booked it in for this aswell, this was 2 seperate bookings and recieved confirmation of this. In the 2 week wait for my appointment the problem got progressively worse. I took the 4x4 up at 8am on the agreed day and the garage was absolutely heaving... couldn?t get parked anywhere near the service area. I left the vehicle and didn't hear from anyone what was going on until I phoned up at 5pm and the lady on the phone told me it was ready to be picked up. She said they don't have the tool to do the recall but the gear issue is being caused by the diff and once this is repaired this with solve the jumping gears but I would need to take it to glasgow. I then booked into Glasgow evan halshaw which took another 3 weeks. Evan halshaw carried out the recall (which was just a check of the diff that turned out to be fine) and said the gear issue is 100% nothing to do with the diff. I then called back Arnold Clark Kilmarnock and got another lady on the phone who I asked why I was told this and she said that I was never told this and I was told they can't look at the gear issue without sorting the diff as this could be realted and they dont have the tool to check the diff. I then asked why would someone take my booking for the recall and the gear issue if they are not capable of fixing either? To which I was told she doesn't know and it was her who booked me in.I genuinely don't think they even looked at my car. They took my booking and decided not to bother trying to fix or diagnose anything and blamed it on a recall that had nothing to do with the issue. I took a day off work for this and a return trip to kilmarnock for nothing and also set me back over a month in getting my 4x4 repaired to which I have now been informed it needs a new gearbox at a cost of 8k!

i really do not recommend getting a car from here unless you want a broken one..they sent out a car to me with warped breaks, broken disks and pads that were not safe to drive. i nearly got into an accident multiple times because of the faulty breaks and the staff in aberdeen agreed with the fact that this was so dangerous and could of been life threatening.. not even 3 months in the engine management is flashing on and off all the time for the past month, just over 3 months in and the light is now staying on which i will have to pay for myself after paying £9000 for a car i expected it to work!! i understand cars get problems but all this so early on is absolutely ridiculous i am so disappointed and upset as a 19 year old how are we supposed to prepare for these things happen so sudden? you spend 9k on a car you expect it to run properlyi will say that connor the guy who helped with the process of buying the car was nice and sent videos exc, not his fault this happenedim really disappointed and theres not even any point in contacting anyone as they just seem to refuse to help and will want money for it

I'm 100% sure that customer service for arnold clark live in the back pockets of the Kilmarnock service department. Our family will never blacken their door again. Dont ask us to contact the customer services complaints department as they are as much good as a chocolate teapot!

Car was only in for Mot and service, work seems to be alright. No problem so far. Car was in garage for three days, due to unforseen problem was given a courtesy car at short notice, which did help. Only gripe that I have is text message links didn't work, but that could be a lT issue.

Appalling manager who treats his staff with zero respect and dignity. He berates and belittles his staff infront of colleagues and customers. I do not recommend.

Andy, the general manager, has a shocking attitude and treats his staff like dirt. Completely unapproachable with a closed door policy. Berates his staff in front of colleagues and customers. Should be investigated quite frankly

A friendly, efficient service from Grant at Ford. He was knowledgable, speaking fluent Ford - could imagine he knew everything there was about Ford vehicles.The reception staff on our arrival were always friendly and helpful too.
