We visited mid-week when it was very quiet. Ordered steak pie and a burger which were both very good and served quickly by friendly staff. The only let-down was the tea which was weak and tasteless, probably because the pot contained only one Typhoo tea bag. £3.30 is pretty steep for tea and at that price it should be a lot better. Maybe try using good quality tea, doing so would make all the difference.

Thanks to new manager Gary and his staff, have raised the standard of the cafe area. A lovely welcome and the freshly made scones were the best.

Had a lovely afternoon here with my grandson. What a lovely place to visit, the food was really tasty and nicely served. It was a really clean place , how they managed this with so many children running around?

Arrived with my 3 year old child and pregnant wife. Noticed it was busier than usual. Our child ran into the soft play room so we went to pay for his session and order food. Was met with a really rude older lady at the till, was immediately given a lecture on etiquette of booking in advance. We were patient with her and polite throughout. We have been to Edenmill many times and didn't have to book before. We did apologise though but the lady repeatedly told us to immediately remove our child from the play area . My wife was a little stunned at her aggressive tone. To which she went to get our child.I asked if it was ok to order food to which the lady said once our kid was removed from the play area she would take my order. I was told to stand aside. She then proceeded to take multiple orders from other people in the queue behind me, when my wife and child came out she continued taking orders from other people. She kept ignoring me until after the 3rd or 4th customer got served, l just left with my family. Her behaviour was incredibly immature and unnecessary. When we left she never even apologised or said anything to rectify the situation. I guess Edenmill has too much business in this current financial climate to care about their loyal customers.I would understand if we had a prior argument with her or misunderstanding but this wasn't the case. This lady obviously has a chip on her shoulder/ power trip. Very unprofessional service and bordering insulting/offending behaviour.Upon reviewing the negative reviews of this company I'm sure it's the same older lady that is rude to alot of the customers with similar experiences.

Excellent quality food, drink and service. Friendly staff ready for a chat and a comfortable welcoming atmosphere. Our favourite lunch is the Cullen Skink with crusty bread . Great coffee and cakes too.Popular with families as there is outdoor seating and a play area.

Wonderful food, but quite expensive. I went to get a decaf bag of coffee and it was £19 :O

We all had a fantastic 3 day stay at the Attic, Edenmill Farm. The accommodation and facilities were brilliant, cleanliness and size were second to none. The caretakers,Karen and Patrick were amazing, nothing was a bother. The animal enclosure and soft play were brilliant for the kids, adults too ?. The walks and surrounding country side are amazing and the outdoor children's play is perfect and safe meaning adults get a rest too. I very highly recommend this place for an overnight stay/ visit, you will not be disappointed.

After a hike to The Whangie, we visited Edenhill for lunch refuelling stop before going for round two. Set in the dramatic scenery of Kilpatrick Hills, the place has great views, although it was too cold to sit outside. The indoor seating area has large windows where you can still enjoy the views. The outdoor area has a small play area which I'm guessing would be fantastic for children in the summer. The interior is tastefully decorated and quite a homely shaded of faded blue. Everywhere in the dining area looked really clean despite the number of hikers who must pass through. They even have a real fireplace where there was a log fire. The menu has a good selection of options for vegetarians and meat eaters. As we were going to hike in The Whangie again, we only wanted some light items. We went for the Minestrone Soup, the Veggie Sausage Roll, a couple of coffees. I had a little of the soup. It was good homemade soup. The sausage roll was excellent. Instead of meat or veggie meat, it was filled with mushrooms, leek and cauliflower, but compacted nicely together into a proper British sausage roll pastry. For dessert, the selection of cakes weren't really to my tastes, although I still got a Pecan Flapjack. The staff were friendly throughout and I think Edenhill is ideal for families and as a stop for hiking in Kilpatrick Hills.

Mr and Mrs Clause were FANTASTIC with our 3 grandchildren. Then went to the softplay. Ordered food which was disappointing for the price.

Dropped in on the way home for a coffee and cake. Friendly enough staff but a bit basic in decor, like a staff canteen. To be fair it was early December so it was looking a bit tired. Large play area for kids in the summer.

Told the wait time for food was 20 mins waited 50 mins. The food arrived cold. 50 mins for 2 bowls of cold soup is poor. When complaining the older lady was rude and offered no apology. Avoid, go to the wee drive through/sit in place down the road great service and food was lovely.
