Just ok, I ordered a caramelised onion scone asked for cheese and chutney the waitress asked if I wanted butter I said no, it came on its own with no cheese or chutney, no knife of napkin, my daughter ordered a cheese and chive scone both were cold so asked for them to be warned up, which wasnt a problem, they were on the small size for the price. We ordered a ham and cheese toastie with crisps for my grand daughter minus the salad, it was just in ordinary cheap white sliced shop loaf. The coffee was nothing special either, better places I'd say to call in to.

Popped in for a coffee and a scone for the first time. Disappointed. Slow service, scones were not the best and cappuccinos could have been hotter. Don't think I'll be back.

Stopped in here for lunch as the place we visited first was unfortunately full.
We really liked to food which was nicely prepared and very tasty.
However one of the servers didn't have the best customer care (stand offish) and it was difficult to enjoy the nice food as was dealing with a wasps e everywhere which was bothering the both out party and the other customers so sadly we were quite relieved to get out of the cafe after finishing lunch

Lovely food and service. Delightful baked goods and great coffee. They also have cute gifts throughout the store. Great place to catch up with a friend

We'd heard so many good things about this place, in fact the last time we were in Kelso a month ago, it was chockablock so we didn't bother.
Arrived and seated at the back on the corridor to the toilet. This is a narrow corridor area with two seat tables either side, however we had our little dog with us and it was quite awkward for everyone including the other customers and those using the toilets. We couldn't relax because our dog was in the way but there's so little room there.
We looked at the menu's and made a choice. I had to return back to the car so told my partner that I would like the camembert with artisan bread. 5 minutes later when I returned, I was told that this was the evening menu. It's not really clear as it only tells you this in the bottom right hand corner of the sheet of paper. So we went for the panini and the quiche. Both were very nice, however, we both ordered a pot of tea which came 5 minutes after the meals. I think that was a first for us in any cafe we have ever visited.
It was very nice food but the service was a little displaced and putting us at the back with a dog which other patrons, those serving meals and counter staff had to step over constantly, wasn't ideal. We couldn't enjoy our meal because of having to move our dog away from feet constantly

Was in recently and ordered pie. What came was a small pie with very little filling. Pastry that would have benefited from a hacksaw and no salad or anything on the side. Very, very disappointing and not cheap.

Such a shame that their online presence is wrong. They arbitrarily decided to close for tea and begin serving dinner menu only at 3pm. Luckily, the Cross Keys hotel is happy to serve customers with scones into the late, late hours of 3:15!!! Please think of people who don?t live in Kelso and keep your online profile accurate.

Nice little tearoom, with a good atmosphere and lovely staff.
We just went for a coffee, but will definitely come back for lunch another day.
It was busy, which speaks for its popularity!

Owner was very abrupt. Not welcoming at all. More expensive than other cafes in the area. Wouldnt go back for these reasons
