Appalling experience.
My partner nipped in store - where we shop weekly - on our way home to grab something for dinner. This store has recently changed their self scan system so that you need to scan your receipt before the barrier will open. Unaware of this, my partner went through the self checkout, paid, and clicked no when the till asked if he needed a receipt. When trying to leave, he couldn?t get through the barrier so returned to the ?customer service advisor? who started making a scene and said he couldn?t get through until he paid? Confused, he insisted he had and she again accused him of not paying. She began shouting at him accusing him of theft and THEN asked for proof of receipt to which he stated he?d said no on the till. She continued making a scene clearly trying to humiliate him, whilst everyone stood staring at them both. The staff member can easily check the machine, but did she? No, she much preferred to scream false accusations. After being verbally abused enough and having her attempt to humiliate him, he turned round and walked out behind a customer who was leaving the barrier. She then started screaming down the shop behind him that he was stealing. Again, everyone was staring.
This woman behaved completely unhinged, and another member of staff should have stepped in to assist the clearly unstable worker. Maybe they know better than to have anything to do with her and I can see why.
Not that he would steal any amount of food from a shop, but ALL of this was over £5 worth of pizza?. That he paid for.
Maybe they should get some better signage of the new system, or a till that doesn?t prompt you to not take a receipt? Better yet, hire some staff who haven?t just escaped from a circus.

Starting to feel very tired now. The staff try their best and are still trying, but the shelves now are poorly ranged and hugely wrongly priced.Few checkouts run with self-service dominance. Security wanders around and isn't helpful at all. Any problems at checkout you'll need to wait as staff can't be found.It is evident management are in to cut costs. At any cos.It's poor now. Will update as the days go on

Definitely need more staff, total joke at the self check outs.... one person manning self checkout so cannot check a price....will not be going back....I agree with other complaints, Aldi is only over the road....

Great morrisons. Plenty of parking spaces. Shelves are always full. Petrol station is handy aswell. Never any issues here
