Hadn't visited here since pre pandemic and what a change.........for the better !!!
Food, delicious and cook on my sea bass was bang on. We had several waiting staff serve us and were friendly and knowledgeable but Lynn(e) who had been there pre pandemic was just lovely and so helpful. 5 star evening meal and their new( well new to us) was smart, understated and comfortable. If you ever find yourself in this neck of the woods give it a go......you won't be disappointed

Lovely home cooked food, very comforting with a friendly front on house.

My wife and I had a wonderful meal at lunchtime. I had the pudding which was packed with meats. My wife had the roast beef which was perfectly cooked and delicious. We were well looked after by Lynnne who cared for our every need. I would highly recommend.

Excellent meal from start to finish. Quaint surroundings - if staying at Schloss or somewhere close, this is not to be missed. Had to wait for the menu of the day to be finished - which is always a good thing. Lamb was great.

Dietary restrictions: 4 of us rocked up at fairly short notice, after a day?s walking on the Borders Abbey Way ? one vegetarian, one gluten intolerant, the other two open to anything. 3 of us went for the veggie tagine? it was superb, freshly cooked from scratch. We had to drive, so we did not look at the wine list? got the feeling it would have been pretty good. The ambience was relaxed and comfortable, the staff were charming and efficient. Probably the best meal out we have had in a long time.

Absolutely divine! Had dinner for two & took our v well behaved dog. The owners have created a really lovely atmosphere. Professional but very welcoming, smart interior design but relaxed. The food is exquisite really top notch. I had the duck and it was perfectly cooked. Found ourselves eating slowly to savour it. Very well priced and fairly priced wine. Absolutely recommend. Suggest you book, rightly it was full. Hosts, Mum & daughter are just a delight to chat to.

Best lunch ever. The seafood risotto was exquisite and the owners are always very friendly. If you make a request for a certain dish when booking, they will do their best to accommodate you.

Second visit at restaurant, food was of high standard, well presented 10/10 restaurant itself is lovely and staff are very welcoming and friendly, the restaurant is also dog friendly which is good would definitely recommend and will definitely return when I?m back in the area visiting
