Terribly cold, bland surroundings it was like sitting in a broom cupboard. No atmosphere at all. Would not recommend, only called in as it looked nice from outside.

I wish that someone would put the heating on absolutely ridiculous this ruined our stay sleeping in thermals for the night the owner who worked the bar worked in a face jacket for the night.but we ended up going to the pub down the road for dinner stunning it's just unfortunate that they didn't do rooms we would of stayed there spread eagle sort your self out

We went in for a quick drink on our way back to the hotel and ended up staying all night it was amazing. Great fun, good laugh and music and everyone was so welcoming. We will definitely be back and hopefully staying there sometime too.

We enjoyed our weekend stay and the breakfast. Great location. If I was picky the only thing that could be improved is a firmer matress.Nearby activities: There are a few places to visit in the immediate area to fill your day in Jedburgh.

Very warm welcome, and looked after from the moment I stepped through the door. The bar was my first port of call after a long day, the local best bitter was spot on, and the patron was very friendly. The room was comfortable, tidy, and spacious, en suite with all necessities in place. Breakfast was included, and cooked to perfection, and absolutely delicious.

Friendly owner very helpful. Lovely rooms with decent furniture and comfy beds. Nice breakfast Only downside is there is no restaurant . Small car park to the rear not exactly easy to find but worth the navigation around the back streets of Jedburgh Right in the centre of Jedburgh

We were travelling through, and my mum had booked ahead via booking com. Very friendly owner, great breakfast. Nice pub. Rooms very nice. It's an old building that Mary Queen of scits stayed in. It can't be changed in structure, so some floors are not straight and you do have to climb lots of stairs, so not good if you have disabilities

Stayed here with 2 friends as we had an event to go too. Initially it looked locked up although there was a number on the door but after being nosy and looking through the window the host opened the door and welcomed us with a huge smile. From then on we felt immediately comfortable and at ease. The rooms were clean and spacious with everything that we needed. Clearly the housekeeper does a good job. Well done to her . We stopped for a soft drink in the bar and it was lovely to meet and mix with some locals who were very friendly. We didn't feel anything was too much trouble even as we were going to be coming back in the early hours. The bed was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was very adequate and cooked to perfection. It seemed a shame to leave really and I wouldn't hesitate to book again with friends or family. Some areas did look a little in need of some tlc but it is obvious that this does not affect a very comfortable stay. Great Host with a great sense of humour. Lovely rooms, Fantastic breakfast and lovely job done by the housekeeper/cleaner. Thank you.

The bar is part of the Spread Eagle Hotel and is fairly basic with no real ale and a small range of draught beer being Carling, Belhaven Best, San Miguel and Strongbow. Popped in for a quick drink before visiting friends in the town when we first arrived there was no one to be seen staff or customers. My wife and I stood for 5 minutes before a gentleman appeared carrying a coffee mug and served us our drinks and then disappeared again. Another customer came in and like us stood waiting for several minutes and he we chatted and he said he was a local and provided us with loads of local information. After about 6 minutes of chatting the gentleman reappeared that had served up and served the gentleman. He then disappeared again. We continued to chat to the local who told us the server was the owner and it was very common that he disappeared and left people waiting.

A lovely old building with a great deal of charm - widning stairs with various nooks and crannies. It was cold when we arrived, but our room was warm, clean and well presented with a generously sized bathroom. The owners and staff are incredibly helpful, approachable, and friendly in all they do. Perfectly central, on the main street, where you can usually park for free. Breakfast was lovely, well sized with fresh ingredients served in a lovely breakfast room. We will return!
