What a wonderful place. After a strenuous 15 mile walk we couldn't have found ourselves in a better place. It's a stunning Georgian house which has been tastefully updated for guests. Our room was amazing; spacious and comfortable. The breakfast, sensibly orders were taken the night before, was first class. Amazing. Visit Allerton House to see for yourself, especially if you're traveling through on the A68.

Lovely guest house. I stayed for one night on the Borders Abbey Way. I was given the twin room on the ground floor which was actually a wee suite of rooms. I had a sink area with kettle, the bedroom, a wee loving a space with a couple of comfortable chairs, TV and wardrobe, and a shower room. It was a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was good with a traditional cooked offer available. I opted for porridge fuel me for the day. I?d happily stay here again.

We arrived at the venue as a stop over on our way to Scotland. The venue was very pleasant and served us well prior to contouring our journey the next day You have complete freedom to come and go as you please, and the hosts are only to pleased to help you. The facility is very well maintained and offers very clean and tidy rooms. There is sufficient car parking and the facility is a short walk into Jedburgh town itself. As a stopover for the wary traveler is is well recommended.

Stayed here (like many others do) while visiting Jedburgh en route with the St Cuthbert's Way long distance walk. it's a very nice B&B in a lovely big building, The hosts are friendly and helpful, and the rooms big and comfortable. The breakfast was Ok but a touch underwhelming (watery porridge , little packaged spread thingies instead of butte, and rather functional cooked breakfasts) but perfectly adequate, so not a huge deal. Overall very good for a night's stay. Well located for a walk into the centre of town

A warm welcome upon arrival. What a wonderful place to stay. We stayed in the Queen Mary room. A very generous size & dual aspect looking out over the front drive & garden and the full lawn, mature gardens to the side. Everything you need is in this room. Fridge, coffee machine, iron & board. Massive walk in wardrobe & a substantial sized bathroom. And the bed?. Oh my days, what a bed. So so comfortable William is a very genial host. Breakfast was made & served by Fiona. Absolutely fabulous. The young lady who assisted (apologies I did not get your name) made the nicest fresh fruit salad. All in all, a definite must if you are visiting Jedburgh. Just a short walk (downhill) in to town? but that does mean, it?s up hill all the way back. Haha. Would definitely visit again. Thank you.

Bacon, Egg (cooked to your liking) Sausage, Haggis, Black Pudding, Tomatoes, Mushrooms and Toast served on Simple, no fuss, Breakfast Dineware. Milk and Orange Juice served in Old Fashioned Milk Bottles to pour into your glass, was a nice touch. Excellent Cleanliness, Friendly and Efficient Staff. Will definitely return.

Allerton House is absolutely fantastic. Perched away from town noise, yet walking distance to centre, overlooking the majestic Jedhburg Abbey, this place made us feel Home, especially by super welcoming hosts Nina and William. We stayed enroute St Curthbert?s Way and it was indeed the best part to unwind. A charming decorated House with enchanting history, nice garden with chairs to enjoy the morning sun and above all a hot tub in bathroom to relax those aching feet, we could not have asked anything more. The cherry on cake (or the cake itself) was the grand breakfast dolling out Scottish local dishes like Haggis and Black Pudding. Highly recommend to all. And we would definitely return.

Stayed for two nights with friends and motorcycles. Plenty of private parking, away from main road. The owners and staff were excellent- really friendly whilst ensuring everything was to our satisfaction. Our room was warm, clean and spacious. Breakfast was well above average and exceeded expectations. Short walk into town for various restaurants to suit most tastes. Brilliant biking roads too. Highly recommend

Cracking B&B in a historic town surrounded by beautiful countryside. The welcome by William and family was warm and genuine. The rooms are super clean and well appointed. The bed was comfy in the Castle Room which has a lovely view to the front of Allerton House in the direction of the town centre. Breakfast was sublime! Best in recent memory and the Haggis must be tried - I say this as an ex-haggis-virgin. Parking was plentiful and nicely hidden from the main road. I will definitely return.
