If you?re a seafood lover visiting London, The Oyster Shed is a must-visit spot. Located right on the Thames, it offers stunning river views ? especially beautiful at sunset ? and a lively yet relaxed atmosphere.
The oysters are fresh, plump, and perfectly presented, with a selection that changes depending on the day?s catch. Their seafood platters are generous and beautifully arranged, featuring prawns, mussels, crab, and smoked salmon, making it an ideal sharing experience.
The wine and champagne list is well-curated to complement the seafood, and the staff is knowledgeable in recommending perfect pairings. Service is generally friendly and efficient, even during busy hours.
While prices are on the higher side, the quality, location, and ambiance make it worthwhile. It?s a great place for a casual yet refined lunch or a romantic dinner with a view of the river.
? Rating: ????? (4.5/5)
Best for: Oyster enthusiasts, seafood platters, riverside dining.

Basic, but good seafood. Oysters shucked in front of you, and scallops, soft shell crab and lobster cooked to order in quick time.
Parking is the one major issue, it?s a very small lot on a narrow road.
To order, head into the warehouse and use the display screens, and food turns up outside at the caravan 5-10 minutes later.
There?s a sheltered area outside to eat, but it would be freezing in winter. And there?s no toilet here - head back down the road to the cabin opposite Tallisker.
Prices are good for the quality of the seafood - cheaper than you?d pay in Portree or at any restaurant.

Though I took beautiful pics, I had the smallest oysters and the toughest lobster in my life.

I would drive five hundred miles and more to eat here ?

Fresh and delicious!

Food is horrible and overpriced. They added a tip window (especially targeted towards tourists), when no one is even serving the food. The parking lot is also horrible and way too small for how popular it is.

Extortionately expensive and only mildly better than the sandwiches I made in my car. Total tourist trap.

I have read many positive reports about the Oyster Shed but to be honest this is the last place you want to eat.
- Service - there was none. You have to place your order on an automatic. The unfriendly guy in the ?van? shouts your name when it is ready
- Food quality - terrible. Everything is deep fried in what is very obviously old oil needing changing. The fried oysters were saturated in fat and was almost criminal to just a valueable product. Similarly the fried fish was saturated in fat. All in all I have never had a fish and chips which was as fatty and disgusting as all the food we chose.
- Ambient - you order at a machine in an industrial shed and then sit is a disgusting and very dirty long table in a lean-too building
Avoid this place and don?t waste time trying to find it.

Delicious seafood. The soft shell crab was amazing. So much so, we immediately order another portion.

Parking is tight but held a good number of cars for being a she's on the side of the road.
Food was delicious. Small menu of shellfish and fish.
You eat in a she's on a whiskey barrel. There's loose hammers ronise if you get the lobster.

Sadly, we were not impressed on most of our selections. The raw oysters were very good, also the scallops & smoked trout, mackerel was also ok. But the others all seemed to have a fishy taste that is usually absent with extremely fresh seafood. We did not like the bisque, lobster was chewy, salmon bisque was ok.

Food was great- definitely try their lobster and scallops.
Order through a tablet inside and collect the food from the food cart outside.
Parking was definitely not easy, especially when the place is full and the entrance is by a slope with two way traffic. Parking is also limited with less than 10 cars.
Would still recommend a visit though.

The food here was outstanding. We were a big group and tried practically everything. The lobster was a bit rubbery and the butter they used could have been better. Also, the soup wasn?t a hit as such. Everything else was great taste wise. No bathroom and prices are a bit high.

Super tasty and good prices!

Besides the hard to find and no parking area the food is tested below the normal restaurant I don?t recommend it at all
