They wouldn?t serve us, apparently restaurant is only for hotel guests.

Flavorless food, terribly overpriced and rude management. We stayed at the hotel 2 nights and with limited options in the area we ate at the hotel restaurant. The atmosphere is good but the food didn?t live up to the first impression or the pricing for that matter. A +50 gbp steak that was small and flavorless, a +40 gbp piece of fish that was dry and not forgetting them serving a +40 gbp piece of duck that was completely raw and when sent back they cooked it so much that it was completely overcooked. Day 2 wasn?t much better as the 28 gbp was among the worst dishes I?ve had. Service was okay but when we gave the feedback they couldn?t do anything and referred us to the manager who was very arrogant and didn?t seem to care one bit about the bad experience his customers have had with the only response being: you ate the food. No need to waste your money here?.

Lost place where we still find a hotel. Everything is not perfect but you will never find a hotel this good in the area.

My husband and I decided to try SKYE restaurant, as we were staying on the northern most point on Isle of Skye and the nearest restaurants in Portree are about a 45-50 minute drive. I read some of the negative reviews and was a bit worried but luckily we had a great experience. We made a reservation online prior so there was no wait. The staff were extremely attentive and welcoming to us. One of the staff from the U.S seemed to be running the show and she did a fantastic job delegating. The atmosphere was elevated, rustic, and cozy which we loved.Food was excellent. My husband ordered the duck and I ordered the halibut. The food is definitely pricey here but understandable since they are a super remote location and it's likely difficult to source ingredients out here. Overall, if you're searching for fine dining with close proximity to Kilmaluag this is a convenient option. Just be aware prices are much higher than Portree.Dietary restrictions: Waitress asked if we had any dietary restrictions before ordering which was nice

This restaurant was part of our hotel that we stayed at, The Flodigarry hotel. We ate here our first night, and we loved it so much, that we decided to eat here each subsequent night. The oysters were so fresh. We tried several different ones, my husband really enjoyed them and came back for seconds the following night. The lobster was good although maybe slightly rubbery. Scallops were wonderful. Beef was also good. We sat at the front table with great views out to sea.

Website zegt highcheese wordt hele dag geserveerd. Leek ons erg leuk. Niet dus. Ligt niet echt om de hoek dus jammer dat ze de moeite niet namen dit te regelen.Prachtig uitzicht en dame achter de bar erg aardig

£18 for an entree of 90% lettuce 5% croutons and 5% trout. What a rip-off!Didn't bother staying for the £50 mains.

£50+ steak is terribly dry and hard to chew. Other dishes just okay so basically all of them are overpriced. The bar tender said he wondered why the people today here were much much less than 6 years ago, I guess he should ask the ones in the kitchen and they are definitely the reason.Vegetarian options: Super overpriced and pretending to be a three-star Michelin star but completely lacking in the basic skills of a professional chef.

This restaurant fronts as fine dining and it absolutely is not. It?s incredibly over priced, our server was unable to answer questions about the menu, the menu lists ingredients but no description of the actual dish, the seafood cocktail was a pile of cold cod and clams (missing the mussels) and one langoustine with a few spoonfuls of brown broth as the ?bisque?? It was flavorless and actually inedible. I then ordered the scallops that came without the bacon that was advertised, my partner?s beef was ordered medium rare but half of the fillet was well done.We left hungry, disappointed, and £180 in the hole. I do not recommend ? but plan accordingly because there?s nothing else nearby as it?s in a very remote location.

My husband & I found this restaurant online & the menu sounded amazing. The setting is beautiful, however the service from the start was poor. We had to ask for a glass of water. The prices, which we knew about in advance, indicated that the food would be above your standard fare. We ordered 6 natural oysters at 18 pounds. They arrived with no lemon. 5 of the oysters were delicious, however one smelled & a small taste indicated that it was off hence neither of us were willing to eat further. I told this to the wait staff. For mains I ordered 1/2 lobster & forager salad at 55 pounds expecting a truly delicious fresh tasty meal. What arrived was an overcooked, tough, tasteless lobster, a few pieces of lettuce & chopped tomatoes. I had to ask for a piece of lemon. It was inedible & I returned it uneaten. I was offered another meal however my husband has started his meal & to be honest I had lost confidence in the food options. My husband had halibut which was tasty but at 52 pounds not worth the money. We were understandably not charged for the lobster but all up found this to be a incredibly disappointing experience. We were pleasant at all times & found the response inadequate. On paying the bill we were surprised at the lack of apology & acknowledgement.

So first of all: the food was very nice and the staff was friendly. Why only two stars then?Well, it is really, really overpriced. We paid around pounds per person for just a main course and a pint. For the same amount of money you can dine a menu in a 1 star restaurant somewhere else in the country. It is just ridiculous. They ask star restaurant prices but without the star restaurant service. It is also well connected to the hotel. My feeling is that they just abuse the fact that you have very little alternatives for dinner when you arrive at the hotel.

Beautifully prepared meals and, depending on where you're seated, very nice ambiance. Be sure to book a table well in advance - and in the dining area nearest the front entrance - as this fine venue fills quickly. Like many places, staffing shortages present the usual challenges. In addition, being a guest at the Flodigarry does not provide seating advantages. As there are limited dining options in this remote part of the Isle, early bookings are essential.

The perfect setting on Isle of Skye and a great meal as well. My wife and I spent our 25th anniversary there and it was the perfect setting. Very remote, rustic, great quality and awesome personable service.
