Great choice, well stocked.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Co-Op store. My girlfriend, who went in to purchase water and cigarettes, was met with unnecessary rudeness and discrimination from a staff member named Ruth. When she asked if presenting a photo of her ID from her phone would suffice since she had left her physical ID in the car, Ruth responded with, "In this country, we have rules." This is not only an unacceptable attitude but also a display of racism and disrespect. When I returned to confront Ruth about her behavior, she reiterated her rude remark. It's appalling that someone like Ruth is allowed to represent your store. Discrimination and rudeness have no place in any establishment, and it's deeply disappointing to see such behavior tolerated at the Co-Op.To add insult to injury, Ruth even ripped the money out of my girlfriend's hand. This kind of aggressive behavior is completely unacceptable and adds to the overall negative experience at your store.

Don't get me wrong with the rating, it's a decent enough store with plenty on offer but here's where it fails. We popped in earlier today. My my sister in law was stood at the check out, in accordance with the store layout. The bearded store assistant couldn't get by her. She couldn't see him as he was behind her. What he could have done was a simple 'excuse me' but no, what he done was make all sorts of faces and roll his eyes which my wife seen. This isn't a one off, we're here often and some of the staff are simply rude to tourists. A little customer service would go a long way. It's important to add, the fellow, without a beard, who served us was a delight. This is the way it should be done. The car park is decent with accessible disabled parking and I believe there are toilets but I've never had to use them, thankfully. There is hot food available but remember, it's pre heated so don't expect fine dining, it is what it is.Make sure your wallet is well stocked as its pricey in here, they obviously take the proverbial as its the only decent store for miles.

Well furnished! Open until late (10pm), it also allows the purchase of hot food to eat - the latter pre-cooked.

I have no idea why this place is being praised as much as it is.I feel sorry for the locals as this shop is the only supermarket in miles and the prices are insane..Who is paying 8 pounds for a jar of coffee? Rich holiday goers that's who.I waited in a giant que as two machines went down and no one came to sort it out. Most of the stock is constantly out of stock as like I said this is the only supermarket within miles. 3 pounds for a loaf of bread.. the coop food are committing day light robbery. But everyone overlooks this as there is a really nice view as soon as you exit the store and everyone is in holiday mode but it's the locals who are really suffering.

Unbelievably rude manager. I was unaware of the no alcohol buying law in Scotland. Was at a self service till that stopped me buying which is is fine but when the manager turned up eventually he just picked up the bottle, said you can?t buy that and walked off. Left me standing still at self service till that was still blocked .

The public toilets are closed, the new ones are not open (and will be charging when they do) and the Coop toilets have been closed for far too long. It seems deliberate to me, like they are closing the toilets on purpose because they know people can't use the public ones so are coming in there. Whether it's deliberate or not it's a terrible way to treat potential customers.

Stop by to fill up fuel and get coffee. My wife and I want to use the toilet so the gentleman at the fuel store asked to go to the main store. When we were at the store, the lady at the counter told my wife to use the toilet at the church across the road. We went back to ask the gentleman and told him that the lady said the toilet at the church. He said it was dark there why did she tell us that? And then he communicated with the main store and he confirmed that the toilet can be used inside the main store. What a joke! We went back to the main store and to our surprise, they even have two toilets available right at the back of the main store. I have a CO-OP membership and if this is how you treat your customers I have to reconsider whether to stay as a member or not.
