We had a wonderful stay here, very personal experience as the staff were wonderful, pleasant and looked after us really well. The breakfast was delicious and local produce provided and cooked to our liking. Really lovely recommendations for where to see local wildlife (literally on the hotel doorstep!) and places to eat or visit.Really handy to be beside the ferry terminal, friendly locals, beautiful views, the whole experience was so enjoyable. We saw Otters, Stag, White-tailed sea eagles and were in the perfect location for lots more if we had more time to spend there.Beds super comfy, towels super soft, new interiors/furnishings, plenty of space and lovely games/book room &dining area.Highly recommend staying here and cannot wait to go back.

Managed to get in at the last minute due to the ferries being cancelled, lovely couple running the place, nice clean rooms with a great breakfast, would be an ideal base for exploring the area, with great views across the sound of mull.

Lovely small hotel 500 meters from the ferry to Mull. Excellent place to visit both Mull and the mainland. Far from the nearest cities, it's more the place in Scotland to go and visit the island, the beaches, seal and dolphin spotting, do a nice castle on Mull, etc. We spend 3 days with our family (4 rooms) and we had a great couple of days. The rooms are very nice, new, clean. Breakfast very good, dinner nice. No noise of cars etc, and the sea in front.

Off the beaten track Very near to Fishnish ferry. Rooms were beautifully appointed & clean the only criticism would be that the showers are slow, not much power. Peter and Shaley are so kind and thoughtful and loved our dogs. I would recommend this hotel, they will cook for you as there?s no restaurant?s near by.

After one of the most beautiful but tricky drives (due to ferry cancellations), we arrived at our accommodation in Lochaline. What an amazing, peaceful and welcoming place. We were met by our hostess, Shaley who showed us to our room. The room is small but beautifully furnished with a gorgeous view from the window and a comfortable bed. The ensuite bathroom is huge and has everything you need. Host Richard is extremely knowledgeable about the area and its wildlife. Next time we'll be staying longer to do a tour, as my dream is to see otters in the wild but they eluded us during our stay. Our dinner and breakfast was fabulous and our hosts very friendly and helpful. I absolutely loved our stay here and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, stunning pristine location to get away. Many thanks Richard and Shaley.

One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in - fantastic. When we checked in, the owner suggested that the Northern Lights might make an appearance. As we finshed dinner he suggested to all the guests that they might like to head up the road with him, and see if they were out. Off we went. The lights did not make one of their better displays, but still an everning to remember. Many Thanks

This hotel met our expectations. Run by Shayley and Peter who were the most friendly efficient couple. The food although a limited menu was delicious and the the views from bedrooms were outstanding. Would not hesitate to return. Please note if you are going or returning from Isle of Mull Fishnish to Lochaline ferry is the way to travel and the hotel is 1 minute away overlooking the Loch .

Fantastic staff; I felt like I had met up with old friends! The room was exceptional, with a view of the loch. I was lucky enough to watch porpoise and a seal while relaxing with a chilled glass of white ?

The hosts of this property are so welcoming! They attend to every detail and make you feels those and not just staying at a hotel. The rooms are very well furnished and the amenities are plenty. Beautiful area and views. The description is modest as I think it has even more to offer than they advertise. I?ve stayed in many different types of accommodations all over the world and this is one of the best. It is more like a B&B! It is remote so if you are looking for shopping, nightlife etc, this would not be the place for you but if you want relaxation and a comfortable, lovely place to stay, this is it.

This little hotel with a big view is just fabulous. Extremely friendly and helpful hosts. Very clean and welcoming with very comfortable beds and the best hotel pillows ever! Ferry to Mull just round the corner. I wish Peter and Shaley the best of luck in their new venture

The hosts welcomed me into their humble dining area even though I wasn?t a paying guest with a room. Amy, from Nc?nean, was showing me some hospitality and happened to be helping out at the hotel as well. They offered me food and drink, so hats off to them. It was a relief from the cold I?d harbored for the last couple days. This definitely cured it. Cheers!Food & drinks: Sandwich and whiskey was superb after being sick throughout the dreary weather.

This is a splendid tiny hotel of only five rooms, run by an extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful married couple. It really felt like I was staying in a friend's house. The rooms had several amenities and were nicely decorated. The breakfast and dinner options were both fantastic, with everything cooked to order. The view of the sea from the property is outstanding. Also, since the owners live there, they can give the type of insider advice that you cannot possibly get out of a guidebook. Highly recommend this location. There was only one restaurant for dinner nearby, and it was booked solid for our entire stay. All the other restaurants are 30+ minutes away. This turned out to be okay because the host couple cooked dinner for us each night, and the food was pretty good. Nonetheless, future visitors might want to book their dinner reservations (and ferry reservations) a few weeks prior to arrival.

Excellent small hotel - recently refurbished rooms - spotlessly clean and comfortable . Amazing sea views . Friendly helpful hosts . Evening meals available on request . Handy for the ferry to Mull .
