The experience at Lageorna Guest House was excellent. The position right near to Laig bay and singing beach was perfect for photographers like me. Sue (house owner) was the best! Her cooking abilities are of note, she is making an effort to provide every day a different meal, with fresh / local products and she takes care of serving the meal with elegance and touch. The master rooms on top of the dining room are absolutely beautiful and comfortable. The cottage is more simple but still, it looked pretty comfy and cosy :) I can?t recommend more staying with Sue.I will go back for sure :)

We had an excellent 2 night stay. The views were stunning. We hiked the loop to gods finger and saw such beauty.

We were lucky enough to bump into Sue, the owner, on the taxi over to Creasdale and secured a booking for dinner that night. Set menu of 3 courses for £35. We had asparagus tart, lasagne and lemon and raspberry pudding. All absolutely perfectly cooked, delicious and good portions. The view from the eating area looks out at Rhum and was stunning. We were made to feel very welcome and the place has a lovely cosy atmosphere and a good range of drinks to go with your meal. Would highly recommend. There are a very limited number of places so booking is essential.

We enjoyed a delicious meal on the last evening of our holiday on Eigg. Set menu was tasty, good portions and well cooked. Sue is a lovely friendly host and there was a nice informal atmosphere in the restaurant and we enjoyed interacting with other guests. £35 for 3 courses was good value. Would highly recommend, booking essential.

We had an excellent 3 course evening meal with Sue. Well thought out a good range and combination of flavour. A lovely location with views out to the Isle of Run and the Rum Cuilin as sun set and the sky turned pink and orange.

Laegorna is one of the few places to stay and dine in Isle of Eigg, a unique and beautiful place in the world. But it is the only place you will want to stay in to experience this lovely island and the warm welcome from the owner, Sue. We stayed 2 nights and visited Laig Bay and the singing sands beach, both within walking distance. Laegorna is an excellent base to explore the island, very comfortable room and large picture windows overlooking Laig Bay and the Isle of Rum. What a view! And Sue is an excellent cook - her dinners are generous and delicious! ( the very best Victorian sponge cake with strawberries!) And the dinner conversation with the other guests just adds to the experience. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Excellent B&B in a stunning location with views onto Rum. We had evening meals there both nights. Excellent quality meal. Our room was spacious, with excellent view. Owner was very helpful - with suggestions for walks, and also letting us check out a bit later on our last day. Can'trecommend Lageorna highly enough

Fabulous place. Excellent food. Very attentive staff. Beds comfy but not a twin room. I double and a day bed. The day bed was a little cramped. This didn't detract from the rest which was 5 star.

We stayed five days in midsummer and were fortunate with the weather. Sue is a fine host and cook and presents a wonderful evening meal of the finest quality. You will not be disappointed, it was so good we ate their every evening. The bedrooms are comfortable with views of the sea and the house is about 500 metres from Laig bay and about a mile from the singing sands. There are other fine walks in the area. I recommend it highly.

We ate here twice during our holiday on Eigg and it was a real highlight. Great views, delicious food, and wonderful company in the form of the other diners. There are only a few tables, creating a nice homely atmosphere, and each time we were there conversation was general and very entertaining! The social highlight of the holiday.

My boyfriend and I absolutely adored our meal at Lageorna. The food was exceptional and the views even more so. It was the perfect evening! I highly recommend anyone going to Eigg to give Sue a call and book in!

We stayed at Lageorna for 13 nights while working on Eigg, and Sue and Alasdair made us feel totally at home, and very welcome. We were lucky to have the self catering accommodation which was comfortable and warm, and the beds, wow, best nights sleeps that I have enjoyed for many years due to a back injury. During our stay it was Alasdair and Sue?s sons 39th and were were invited to dine in Lageorna and the food was just sublime. The views from this location over Rum to the front and mountainous terrain to the back were stunning, but it was the friendliness of the owners that would have me return in a second, and even their Border Collie would greet you in return every day. I have enjoyed island life for 40 years, but never seen a community as friendly as this one, and if asked would I return, damn right I would, and would happily take my family as well, keep it up Sue and Alasdair, you are great hosts, thank you
