Disappointed with our visit. Four out of five of us are vegetarian and there were barely any suitable options ? really poor considering how easy it is these days to cater for everyone. We ended up paying nearly £50 for four portions of chips and cheese and a drinks, and honestly the quality was shocking.
It?s such a shame because the place has the potential to be something really fun ? you could lean into the American diner vibe with loaded fries, interesting dips or fun twists on the classics. Sadly, this just felt like an overpriced afterthought.
The staff also looked like they didn?t want to be there they very silently took our order
Won?t be rushing back.

Good place for lunch. No thrills tasty food. Waitress today (Italian I think) was excellent.

Really enjoyed The Diner. Top marks for being very dog friendly not to mention human friendly as well. This place serves lots of dishes remembered from childhood..ice cream floats..chip butties and the best Mac and cheese I have tasted in ages and it's all done with a smile and a chat. It has no pretensions and is just a great place to go and eat and enjoy.

Nice friendly welcome for the 7 of us for lunch. I had a Coronation chicken toastie which was tasty but a bit runny. There was items for kids if they wanted it. Chips were skinny ones which are good for cooking but not my favourite for eating. Prices were reasonable. Food was plain fair.

One of those places that you feel there's nothing specifically wrong with it but at the same time it lacks something that would make it special and make you want to give it 5 stars. The decor is nice, the food is nice, the service was fine, but somehow it wasn't special, just nice.
