Food was nice but not value for money, steaks werent cooked as requested (rare came medium rare / medium rare came medium). For £30 per steak plus £3-4 for steak sauce, I would expect better as the fat wasnt rendered properly, and each portion only had 3 mushrooms. The onion rings were the highlight of the meal - absolutely delicious!

Amazing view while we ate! The lady working was so accommodating to all oir dietary requirements, and was happy to make substitutes for things we couldnt have. She was amazingly friendly and genuinely one of the nicest waitresses/staff members I've met at a hotel restaurant.
Food was reallt tasty as well and really reasonably priced.

Four of us had a fantastic late lunch here. Great banter and service from Amy but highlight was the absolutely fantastic Haddock in Pakora Batter with Spicy Chips and delicious sauce. Our table on the first floor overlooked the harbour. The total package. Excellent!

Food was sub par, although portions are big ingredients seem cheap and sides like vegetables and chips were straight out of the freezer quality. We were rushed to order because they were closing, even though we arrived before 8pm. Staff seemed happier to complain about customers than serve. Wouldn?t recommend

Went there for breakfast when on our visit to Bute to do the West Island Way. Group of 8. Really good breakfast, reasonably priced and the staff were lovely. Thank you ??

We didn't realise the Ghillies is the bar & bistro of the Victoria hotel but we went in as no - residents. I had a prawn salad which was very tasty! Plenty of fresh salad and a baked potato too. The amount of prawns was incredible! My fiance had the steak pie which he said was really delicious. The portion sizes are quite large, never a bad thing in my book! The staff were lovely and friendly too. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back!

Not many places open so tried here and it was good. Food is simple but tasty and a decent price. Guy serving was a real asset to the place (blonde young guy) even though he had to put up with some right snobby pensioners.

Had dinner here. Food was homemade. We had lasagne and chips and chicken with haggis, peppercorn sauce and mash.
Very reasonably priced. Very attentive young guy serving.

Brilliant food, great service, and the YOUNG couple that ran the whole show were amazing! Under pressure, but smiled and just got on with it, despite an extremely difficult table of people.
