We visited after a walk along the beach.
Really nice, locally run cafe with views across the bay.
Mainly indoor eating, though with some outdoor tables too.
Very busy at the time of our lunchtime visit.
We, like many others, were happy to wait a few minutes to be seated.
Very tasty home made soup, followed by warm drinks & home made baking.
Car parking immediately adjacent.
Family friendly.
Dogs welcomed

Dirty loos, poor service and lack of attention to detail along with a radio belting out so loud it made my ears pound meant we would not stay for food.

I came to ettrick bay café when i visited bute, loved the view of ettrick bay from the window seat and the little makeover the place has had as well as my coffee, but other than that I was just shocked at the amount of time it took for a bowl of soup and some curly fries, which were £4.50 and tastes like they were out the co-op and came in a stupid little cone!! And to add to that a red haired lady who I can only assume is management by the way she was scolding staff had a very unwelcoming look on her face? that emoji is the only way to describe it. Very disappointed with how ettrick bay has turned out, used to be a friendly welcoming café where I?ve shared many memories, so unfortunate!!!

Sat for quite a while waiting but I was happy to wait, but then a guy from the kitchen came out and started shouting in front of the whole cafe to one of the young girls working out front, what an absolute horrible way of doing things! she made a mistake, take her to the kitchen and privately correct her!!! NOT scream at her in front of everyone, that poor lassie!

Worst service I've ever experienced. 45 minutes wait for a bowl of soup and a toastie, neither of which arrived at all. Asked the staff 4 times what was happening, told food was on the way. Fifth time they decided they couldn't find the order, despite us having order number. Asked for refund and only got £12 back instead if £20 paid, but by this time we just wanted to leave.

Food was delicious, prices were reasonable and the staff were so nice.
Highly recommend the Chai Latte to go with one of the many delicious cakes.

Grabbed some filled rolls and cakes here for our walk. The filling were great (bacon/black pudding) but the bread was quite dry with no butter. Would have preferred a fluffy morning roll. Cakes were amazing but service was slow and seemed disorganised. It was busy though and they?re fairly newly opened. Think they just need to find their rhythm.

Popped in for a ginger beer, place was heaving with patient, friendly and welcoming staff dealing with the hoardes like pros even in the sweltering heat. Look forward to a weekday visit. Very pretty inside with comfy booths and stunning views.

An wonderfully located little tea room which also serves delicious food on a simply beautiful coastline. Enjoy a peaceful beach walk from the nearby car park and stop into the Ettrick Bay Tea Room for some food as the service is brilliant. The waitress who took my order was very nice and brought our food quickly.
