Had a yummy cappuccino after a chilly walk in the beach with my son and dog. Staff member who served me was very kind and chatted away to my toddler who was happily strapped to my back! Would love to come and sit in the next time.

First time at The Shore. It was amazing. Great atmosphere and lovely staff. We went for a birthday and were delighted with decorations at the table and a wee cake with a candle after we?d eaten. The food was delicious and so fresh. Will definitely be back. Our new favourite place in Arran ?

What a lovely time we had here on Thursday 26th October when we stopped for lunch during a short break to Arran. We loved the venue, right on the shore, with amazing views and the whole atmosphere was just so friendly, warm and welcoming. A huge thank you to Sam and Tracy for their greeting and most attentive service - and for taking the time to chat to us, despite being very busy. The food arrived promptly and was delicious and well presented: a good sized bowl of roast vegetable soup and a tasty cheese toastie with homemade onion marmalade ( a big thank you to chef Adam and to Curtis). Sadly we had no room for any of the home-baking but look forward to the tempting cakes when we return next summer. Can highly recommend for the food and the lovely friendly atmosphere!

We were booked in for the last evening of the season, after a long day traveling. But what a great find. The pork was fall-to-bits tender in a great sauce. Proper, well cooked vegetables. And the brownie with ice cream was perfectly judged. We'll be trying the lunch menu while on the island for sure.ETA: popped back for lunch, sat outside with the sound of waves breaking, great Cullen Skink with cheese scone. Yeah, top marks for The Shore.Parking: Car park 20m up the road. There will be space

Our coffee, tea and cake were all great. Lovely views of the sea and the Holy Isle if you can get a table near the back. Recommended and we'd like to try dinner here some time.

Nearly drove past this, but it was a good find. Delicious food, great view, friendly staff and good choice of ice cream.

Burger was really good quality. Simple, fresh toasties. Nice selection of homemade cake. Lemon loaf was nice. Lovely coffee cake and nutella cake Tables outside right by the beach. Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. There?s one staff member in particular who is so cheery and welcoming. Worth visiting. (Ps, Possibly closed mornings).

We visited the Shore for a bring-your-own evening when we were on holiday in Arran. Lovely position overlooking the beach, very good atmosphere, service was great, the two young women running the front of house did an excellent job given the number of tables! Food was very good - we had the arancini starter, pork in a cider sauce (with plain mash obligingly substituted for black pudding mash), and the fish pie. Followed by the crème brûlée and ice creams. Being able to take our own wine was a real positive. Portions could have been a little bigger - that?s the only slight query but all in all a really decent experience.

The food was okay, but the service was very poor, it took what seemed forever to clear the previous customers dishes from our table during which time new customers arrived & were attended to before our table was prepared.

The food here is absolutely delicious and the views are amazing. I only wish there was more on the menu or open for longer so that I can stuff my face even more!

Must be one of the best little eateries on Arran. Repeated visits during our recent holiday did not disappoint. Great coffee and best haggis toastie ever. Even at busiest times (and seemed overwhelming on one occasion) staff kept a gracious and smiling demeanour! Just one more reason to get back on this gem of an island asap!!

Great location; amazing see views; consistently good service; consistent good, simple home style cooking. Have visited multiple times this May, June and July, for just coffee and cake and also lunch. Check their opening hours, as we assumed they?d be open mornings during the summer season. They open midday and think they close two days mid-week. Worth a visit.

Lovely cafe- service was fast and the food was excellent. I had Cullen skink with an incredible homemade cheese scone. Husband had very tasty veggie burger. We sat outside with our dog and were made to feel very welcome as we enjoyed the incredible view of Holy Island.
