This is a local shop, after 20 mins of listening to old ladies talking about all their medical issues I walked out without buying anything. As an outsider I was totally ignored, I won't be going back.

Last time we were on Arran, the café was sadly closed, and so we were very excited to try it this time. Very friendly staff and a lovely selection of cakes and traybakes to choose from. Lovely views from inside the café and from the outside seating. Would recommend if passing and we will return soon.

As this was the only place open in the village I decided to accept the distinctly "tourist" prices and the inevitable "greetin' wean", but as I went to sit down I was intercepted by a member of staff; "The table's booked." Just the typical Scottish Tourist Industry experience if you try to "eat local", I will bring my own food in future.

Staff were very friendly, coffee was cheap, tasted nice. But looking at the price of food was on the expensive side.

Stopped here to refuel after a walk up to Glenashdale Falls, had a toasty with salad (the coleslaw was homemade and delicious) the scones obviously freshly baked , were the best I have tasted in many a year (even better than my mother?s) well worth a visit , it won?t disappoint

Lovely friendly place selling high quality produce with many products available packaging-free. Sources locally and sustainably. There is a small table and coffee is served - an important hub for local gossip and ferry stories

The most delicious cheese scones I have ever had. Lovely, friendly staff. Really good coffee. Everything on the menu looked very tempting. Good selection of scrummy looking cakes. Views to die for. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The most delicious quiche I?ve ever eaten. Friendly and efficient staff in a spectacular setting. I ate outside with my dog and they provided him with water too.

The Coffee Pot in Whiting Bay is much larger inside that first appearances might suggest. It is also modern and very smart and has a fine selection of original artwork on the walls at most reasonable prices The name of the cafe could also be misleading because it is much more than just a coffee shop and has a decent menu of hot and cold sandwiches, snacks etc. We simply had coffees which were very good and, dare I say it, made a pleasant change from the ubiquitous coffee chains. This is a really nice cafe and the prices and service are very good.

Our favourite cafe. Whatever you chose, you will not be disappointed. High quality food made with love in clean, friendly environment. The home baking is second to none.
