This place was like walking into family tea. The food was top notch hearty soul food! We had a steak pie and a steak burger. Extremely good portions for the price. The staff there are easily what made the experience though. As I say welcomed like family! My three month old son was cuddled and introduced to all the locals! Really, genuinely lovely wholesome place to be. Only on day two of our holiday and we?ll probably be back so my boy can see his new best mates again!Thank you for having usFood & drinks: Fantastic portions, fantastic food and really good value for money

Solo walking trip. Shame weather didn't behave. Room (2) lovely. Great welcome from friendly staff, and quick service. Room overlooked park. Breakfast great - filled me up for a days walk. Offer of a packed lunch available (but I didnt use this). Evening meal good, but could do with a bit of variety (I had 3 sorts of curry on 3 nights). Would have had steak pie if available. £17 a pop, so not the cheapest. Well located. About 15 mins walk to ferry. Co op (the smaller one) about 5 mins walk. Bus stop to north and west of Arran is opposite Co-op. Otherwise, there not much nearby so if you have no transport, bear this in mind. The pub would benefit from a bench in the entrance to sit on whilst you peel off your (in my case, very wet) boots. Arran is lovely - go for it! Yes, I will return.

Awesome little pub inside the hotel to stop into before going to catch the ferry. We even contemplated getting a room for the night and staying until the next day. Would definitely love to come back and stay for a nightNoteworthy details: Just a 15 minute walk from Brodick ferry terminal, and 30 minute walk from Brodick castle
