It's very rare that I feel moved to do a review of a place, but after a day of walking up glen catacol in the driving rain, we were desperate for warmth and delicious food. It was dark when we finished the walk and we were absolutely soaked. We were greeted with warm friendly service and a warm fire which dried our clothes. The food was brilliant and exactly what we needed after the day we'd had. Especially recommend the haggis loaded fries. Whisky cheese sauce! Whatever will they think of next?! Also, they pour a good pint of Guinness. Bravo

A wonderful little pub. Busy undergoing a full refit but I definitely believe that this pub has a lot to offer. Will be a great place for the yachtsman out there to stop for a good lunch.

Aug 2023. Didn?t stay overnight so only reviewing the restaurant which was bright, airy and clean. Good selection of drinks at the bar (inc plenty of whiskies). Food was really good, decent choice in the menu and maybe slight cheaper than usual Arran prices. Will definitely be back.

After our walk me and six friends had pints and Cheesy chips here. Maybe it was the 6hr walk but the Cheesy chips were delicious!!!! Melted cheese well cooked chips (is there anything better) and what I can be sure of was that the service was so friendly and welcoming! Recommend!

Reasonable fayre. No real ales, and limited selection of beers.. although they do Thier own lager which is a nice touch. Food was fine, I get the feeling not much of it is made on site (fish and chips aren't for sure) but quality was ok.

Sailed into Lochranza, from the bay we read the huge sign on this building which reads NOW OPEN, so we picked up a mooring, paid the £20 mooring fee into the honesty box, and walked round only to find the Country Inn wasn't open these two days of the week!I guess it would have been very nice, but we don't know!We liked the "community hub" idea too, & would have enjoyed food & a beer or two and some live music which we would happily have provided. Sadly we left the next morning without experiencing anything except a short walk around The Keep, & the beautiful location.
