What a gem! I stayed for two nights on a solo hiking trip in a lovely single room which was very reasonable. Room was cozy and comfortable with a view of the sea close by. The staff at reception, the bar and dining room were all lovely. I particularly liked the lounge area for guests where you had the choice of some nice wines and whiskeys. The food at dinner was also very tasty - I recommend the seafood pie. The location is superb, just on the waterfront with excellent views and dramatic walking options around the bluff at the end of the golf course. It?s also around 30 mins from either of the ferry terminals. I would stay again!

This is one of the very few options im Blackwaterfoot. Lovely location and convenient enough to have a bus stop in front of the hotel.Sue has been a wonderful receptionist, attending to my concerns and queries. The restaurant isn't cheap, but it is fairly priced given its quality.Points of improvement:option to have netflix on tvmini-fridge

Extremely disappointed in menu for lunch..I would have expected snacks and light bites to be available as this hotel as it is the only place open for visitors at this time of year. It wasn't surprising thst three were only 4 of us in for lunch. For a hotel of this standing could do better. I would prefer not to write a negative review but feel visitors need to be aware of the facts. We were staying in Brodick and made the bus trip to the South of the island so a light lunch was all we were looking for. Ended up with a scone as only option!

Absolutely outstanding in every way! The whole place is immaculate and modern. Views to die for, very comfortable super king bed and luxury Arran toiletries. Lovely breakfasts and dinners, the seafood pie being my favourite. All of the staff are lovely and a real asset to the place. We will most certainly return.

Sorry not for us . Beautiful view from most windows ,room was decent as we had a sea view but normal after that..breakfast wasn't up to much and can't believe they never had any fresh fruit for breakfast(£180 a night) Remember espresso is extra as its not coffee they said ?.definitely wouldn't stay here again....................

Lovely location on the west side of Arran. Didn't stay in the hotel but stopped for a bar lunch. Super food, reasonably priced and very helpful and friendly staff.

When there for a lovely dining experience with local friends. It was a issue booking as a few of us. But the meal and service was great.Food & drinks: Nice menu with a basic and more localised items. It's not the cheapest, but on an island, very little is cheap. But very good quality

We were a group of 12 girls (noisy ladies, ain't no girls!!) Loved the locals company in the public bar. Staff couldn't be more helpful. We're booked again for next yearRooms: Our room was well presented with a modern spotlessly clean bathroomNearby activities: The island is full of activities. We were golfing at Shiskine a gem of a golf course with 12 holesFood & drinks: The meals were excellent, served by very pleasant staff
