Went for an afternoon spa as a birthday treat.
Definitely one of the best spa experiences I've had. The facilities were first rate & my massage (by Holly) was one of the best I've ever had. I have a lot of neck & shoulder problems & she really helped to relieve these.
All of the staff were friendly & approachable. Luckily, the weather was glorious so it was extra special to sit out on the terrace with my glass of prosecco, overlooking the lovely grounds.
As a special treat it was well worth the price.
Only slight criticism would be the signage as you enter the car park. I went into the wrong building & one of the workers outside said it happens all the time.
Didn't spoil my overall experience though. Would definitely recommend.

I visited the spa with my husband and it was unreal. The facilities are world class. And the massage and scrub were out of this world. I love this spa and would recommend a visit!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Gailes Hotel and Spa, and it was a truly delightful experience from start to finish. As a dog owner, I greatly appreciated their pet-friendly accommodations. Upon arrival, my furry companion Eve, was warmly welcomed with dog bowls and tasty treats waiting in our room, as well as complimentary poo bags, which were a thoughtful touch.
The culinary experience at The Gailes was exceptional. The fantastic cooked Scottish breakfast was a highlight, offering a delightful start to our days, while the continental buffet provided a wonderful variety of fresh options to suit all tastes. They even provided my dog with a few sausages of her own.
In addition to the welcoming atmosphere and delicious meals, I indulged in a shellac pedicure at their spa, which was utterly fantastic. The spa staff were professional and attentive, ensuring a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
Overall, The Gailes Hotel and Spa exceeded my expectations in all aspects. It?s a perfect getaway for those traveling with pets, offering comfort, relaxation, and a warm Scottish welcome. Highly recommended for both humans and their furry friends!

Still a very nice venue, ( and the new "outside bit" is fab .... unfortunately ( and this is only based on the past four visits, in as many months ) ... I feel it's slipping .... the food isn't as 'nice' as it used to be, the staff are professional but not that approachable, .... I can't really put my finger on it but .... its not the same as it was a few years back ? ... as an instance ; on my last visit ( unfortunately it was a wake for a neighbour ) the food served was mediocre at best. The soup was tepid, the sandwiches ( were conspicuous by there absence ... we weren't the last at the buffet table but somebody somewhere under estimated the covers ??) The scones were too big ( not a complaint you hear often, but I feel 'finger food' should be just that, and you shouldn't need to cut these in half, and half again just to eat them. At this type of event people are talking and chatting to folk, the last thing you want to be doing is stuffing your face with a gigantic scone. And, the sausage rolls were of poor quality, ( as a sausage roll aficionado I know a good roll from a cheapie) .... all in all .... pull your sox up .... this is not a cheap hotel, so stop acting like it ?

Rooms were spot on and reception staff extremely helpful. Dinner service by our waitress was good although having to move table due to being beside where all the rest of the staff congregated and gossiped wasn?t ideal. Food was also very good. Spa on last day was excellent aside from the afternoon tea. Coffee was served 15 minutes before the food and although my partner stated she was vegetarian I?m not and we were served a selection of vegan sandwiches on dry bread leaving them practically inedible.
