(Posted on behalf of family)What a blessing for us when Mums Community Care Supervisor recommend, we contact Rachel at RVH Support Services to provide Mum Social Care at home.Mum lost Dad three years ago after a long battle and was determined to stay at home, however she was becoming more withdrawn due to a lack of socialisation. (Mum had also been diagnosed with Vascular Dementia) Nothing we tried seemed to help.Along came Rachel and the transformation we saw in Mum was remarkable.Rachel had Mum baking and cooking, something she had not done in sometime. They would have trips out for coffee and a fine piece. When we could not get Mum to an appointment, Rachel came to the rescue.Nothing was too much trouble, collecting new medications and the likes.Mum used to anticipate Rachel's visits, they would catch up for a newsy, watch an episode of one of Mums favourite TV shows and work on a Memory Book for Mum.Rachel made all the difference in Mums life, and we will be forever grateful, she was the ray of sunshine that Mum needed.I cannot recommend Rachel highly enough, her ability to help and care, bringing the best out of someone is truly remarkable.Best regards,Stuart Robertson
