Mince pies and scones were perfectly acceptable. The service was diabolical. Six people wandering around , one serving. Not good. Customer care isn't great

Only went for lunch, which, on a Sunday is roast dinner. Half potion was more than plenty and ate every scrap

I managed to get supplies here that I failed to get in two other garden centres. Helpful, friendly staff.

Unusual garden centre. Large selection of motorised lawnmowers and quad bikes etc. However less of what you would normally expect. Large cafe upstairs with a good menu. However it would appear to have been much busier than anticipated, so they had run out of a few items. It was particularly busy though.

We visited the restaurant at the Garden Centre on a busy day during the autumn school holiday. We were 4 people for lunch, and quite honestly we were not made to feel welcome in the slightest. We had to wait for a table to be cleared before sitting down. The system then instructs that you go up to order giving your table number. The staff were brusque, no pleasantries whatsoever, and the lad who eventually brought our food to the table never uttered a single word - he just stood there with the plates waiting for us to indicate where to put the various items. The food was expensive for what it was, and kids choices very limited if you're looking for healthy options. I'm certainly not going to hurry back.

First time back in the restaurant since COVID. It's always been a bit pricey but previously the generous portion sizes made up for this; that seems to have changed though. £8.50 for a tuna melt toastie: two slices of white bread with tuna and cheese, served with a dollop of very mayonnaise-heavy coleslaw, some brown salad, and a large empty space on the platter where there should have been crisps. I had the "express lunch" option, which is a small bowl of soup and half a sandwich, for £6.75. It is quite literally that, with half of a very small sandwich and no salad or coleslaw. It looked very sad on the platter, and the sandwich looked like it had been thrown together and dumped on the plate. The seating arrangements are very awkward: you have to find a table before ordering, which is fine if you are with another adult who can stay at the table, but if you are on your own or with a child you have to leave some personal belongings at your table to secure it while you order. Not ideal.I definitely won't be in a hurry to go back, which is a shame as it used to be a reliable place to go.

Car parking fines imposed if you go over the parking time limit. Why treat loyal customers this way?
