What can I say but Fantastic !! I have been to many many salons around the world ... I feel fortunate to have found Elan, such a beautiful salon ... Offered a drink upon arrival ... And I was lucky enough to have Marika as my stylist. I had asked for a treatment to remove hard water as I am in the shire on well water ... omgoodness I did not realize how much heavy metal buildup had accumulated . The K18 treatment was applied . She consulted my wants needs and desires ...then we discussed it all and she was brilliant!! I ended up with beautiful gorgeous hair!! So soft and shiny and just speechlessly pleased with my cut too!! Thank you so much Marika for sharing your expertise with me ...I will be back ?? and also thank you to staff who assisted me as well you were great!! ? I highly recommend Elan salon and Marika !(A bit embarrassed to share my before and after photos but it is clear of the vast improvement.)

One of the worst experience I had in a hair salon! Still crying over my hair ?First of all, the length is 2-3 inch shorter than what I?ve requested. And it?s making a difference when you ask hair level to be above shoulder and it?s actually just at the chin level. I?ve specifically asked not to have it very short and then I was told that next time I should bring a picture if I don?t like it. The lady didn?t even try to apologize for her misunderstanding and for ruining my hair.Second, the shape is not what I?ve request at all. I requested shorter in the back, longer in the front. The shape is very blunt, same level everywhere.The color is ok-ish, even though my roots are lighter than the rest of my hair which never happened in another salon. Also, my scalp is traumatized as the lady was pushing so hard the brush onto my scalp! When I told her to do it more gentle as it hurts me, she acted like I am the sensitive one, not that she was doing something wrong. Also, I have an în of colour on my forehead, colour on my nose/ears/etc.Some other employers might have different levels of experience, but definitely the one doing my hair had low to none experience.I could have done a better job at home with a 10GBP colour package from supermarket.Also the price is higher than in other places in Aberdeen.Avoid at all cost if you love your hair!

My daughter had her first hair cut at 11 and she was super nervous but her hair looked amazing and she loves her new hair! She's autistic and struggles with brushing her hair and knots as she had such long thick hair but they gave her a cut thats guna make it so much easier for her to take care of. Over all super happy with everything was a very reasonable price as well ?Services: Kids' cuts

I was in yesterday and the stylist I had for a blow dry was friendly and did what I asked. However as I got up to leave the two stylists, one male and one female, at the sink were visibly sniggering and talking about me as I walked out even when I turned round to make them aware I could see what they were doing from the mirrors. This was replied to with more laughing and whispering.I left feeling rather flat and self conscious about both myself and my hair, a shame as you want to feel the opposite leaving a hairdresser. Spend your money elsewhere.

First time going to Elan hair design, so was a bit nervous, but as soon as I opened the door! Wow service was excellent, nice guy put me at ease, hair stylist was Lauren, listened to everything about my hair and what I like and don't like, so here we go ?, I couldn't fault the cut and for the first time in a long time I was delighted beautiful haircut, I normally go home and tidy up round my ears and bits sticking out, but No!!! I even made another appointment so definitely would highly recommended thank you Lauren ?

Was desperate for a haircut and they have a walk in appointments also. Only had to wait a short time. I have super super thick hair and after asking what they think would be best, a really lovely lady gave me the best haircut I've had in a really long time. She spent time making sure it was right for my thick heavy hair by lightning it, thinning it which has made it much more manageable, plus giving it a bit of shape and texture. I am definitely going to change hairdressers to come to this place.
