Was dismayed to be told I'd have to pay £85 for repair to leg of glasses reluctantly paid it as I was told VE no longer carry parts so new frames needed then within 20 minutes received another call to say they could repair them after all
I'll be rethinking where I go for next appointment I think

Following a rather unfortunate incident at VisionExpress in Taunton last year, which was satisfactorily resolved, I returned home to the VisionExpress branch, Eastgate Centre, Inverness.I was greeted warmly by Amy, who promptly came to the Reception Desk while her colleague was attending to another customer.The lady introduced me to Eva, a charming Polish lady, who listened intently to my request.I have been a customer of VisionExpress here for many years and purchased several pairs of glasses...for reading, computer and distance.Only new lenses were required for one pair of frames. No pressure was exerted to buy new frames.My requirements were discussed at length. During two winter months in the Highlands of Scotland, the sun is very low. Driving on an undulating road, the blinding sun can appear without warning, rendering it impossible to see anything at all for several seconds. Sun visors are no use on these occasions.Ewa suggested green grey lenses this time, with a graduated tint and anti-glare coating. She took extra care checking the optical up-to-date prescription details and measurements (I'd had a recent test by another optician). Ewa consulted Amy and Dave to double check some technical details.Ewa offered to have the spectacles (which should be ready within a fortnight) posted to me, but I preferred to collect them. She offered text message, email or phone to inform me when they're in store.VisionExpress have superlative eye testing equipment, but would amount to nothing if it weren't for highly competent optometrists.Ewa is a consummate professional, highly competent, has a high degree of concentration to detail and is dedicated to providing the best standards of customer care. She puts customers at their ease and clearly enjoys her work.All the staff are a credit to VisionExpress...exemplars in their respective fields.Highly recommended.

Tried and failed with contact lenses before elsewhere but they recommended Dave in the Eastgate. I went in fully expecting to fail but he was superb! Clear instructions and made me feel at ease. I've always had good service in this store so would highly recommend.

I?ve been with vision express for over ten years now. Dave has been my optician for nearly all that time, he?s always happy, helpful and very knowledgable. Dave and the rest of the team at the east gate practice always go above and beyond. Highly recommend!
