This place was not the beat. Service adequate. Although the room was clean the decor was very tired. I did not sleep well here. There were nine of us & as we hadn't booked dinner that was an issue. They did feed us though but I wish we hadn't. We had a range from the menue inc. recommended items. Dinner was edible just. The only good. thing about the place was breakfast. The hot food was mostly Ok. but the selection of alternatives Including fresh fruit was such it was easy to find a good breakfast. However over all not value for money I wont be back.

Very run down. Not enough staff. Restaurant closed due to lack of staff. Didn't have enough food at breakfast fast, forgot to order it apparently.

As previous reviewers have mentioned there is a horrible smell coming from the carpets from the ground floor. Location and Service is good.

Location wise I loved it. That's where it ends. Booked a premium room expecting a bath, a shower met us on arrival. The first set of lifts were out of use so we had to walk to the other side of the building to get the lift to 2nd floor. Bedroom was large enough but was too warm, there is no opening windows. The bed was most uncomfortable. It was too soft. I will definitely think twice about staying at a premier inn

This is our first time staying at a premier inn in a while and probably will be our last !
We arrived early- 2 hours early ,our room was ready but to unless we paid an extra £15 we wasnt allowed to get into it .
After an 8 hour journey from the west Midlands, I would have thought as a good will gesture this would have been ok,but no .
The staff i didn't find very welcoming and the whole hotel needs a good make over !
Im in the process of emailing head office as the price we paid for 1 night we definitely were ripped off .
What's happened to the Premier Inns I used to stay in for £ 60 a night?? !
I think the price as gone up and the quality has definitely gone down !

Well what can I say positive about this place.
Sorry but I'd struggle. Good location.
Building in need of refurbishment. Water egress evident on ceilings carpets and windows. Place had a musty damp smell. Rooms were not clean dust on beds under beds, spare linen discarded under beds, water leaking in windows so had to use room towels to mop it up, no hair dryer, no toilet roll, sinks with dirty water in and advised by receptionist to use a spoon in room to whack the drain so it would open it.
Unable to get a meal on arrival due to staffing issues.
Bar staff who couldn't be bothered
Chefs that walk out leaving our pre book breakfast a joke and one poor lad doing everything whilst a supervisor refused to help. Refund a joke
We won't be the only family complaining but wr were probably the most polite
Disgusted and wouldn't go back if you paid me
I know they said it was no frills but I've seen better kept kennels .
Senior management need to overall this establishment in every regard.

If staying book dinner table early, restaurant was empty but told every night no available table until 20:30.

Last minute booking, perfect location, great breakfast, rooms could do with ac but you get what you pay for. Would recommend if your doing the nc500

Poor service at the bar no table fully booked although the place was empty, expensive for a night's stay had to go and get takeaway, customer come second.

Room was as you'd expect it to be and WiFi actually works. Looks really grotty from the outside though and the 'hot' breakfast was cold.

This hotel is near the canal, which is suitable for the canal trail. It's so quiet at night.

Staff were fantastic, if a little thinly spread. WiFi is terrible, air con in room noisy an blows warm on coldest setting, couldn't open the window for fresh air????? Carpets worn and dirty and in need of a hoover. Breakfast cold with under cooked eggs. Overall a bit dissapointed but again the staff were great
