I had laser surgery to replace both eye lenses. Now no glasses?. All of the team were helpful and clear on the process. Op went well with no issues. Makes life a lot easier.

Very straightforward,all staff very helpful,and surgery staff couldn't be better,,my eyes are now 20/20 vision,no glasses steaming up anymore ?, expensive but you get your sight back,bit uncomfortable for the first couple of months but id recommend,

I received a request by email to leave a review of my recent purchase. I am unaware of making any purchase other than paying for lens replacement surgery on 15th July 2024. This surgery did not produce the required results. My distance vision was now poorer. I underwent further LASIK surgery, followed by laser enhancement surgery on 22nd January 2025 to address this. Unfortunately these procedures have left me with very poor eyesight. The optician told me during my last appointment on 24th of April that I am barely legal to drive! This has affected my ability to conduct my work role and my personal life has also been greatly affected. I have been offered glasses to help while I decide if I wish to have additional surgery by having one of the lenses replaced. I have been told by the surgeon that there is no guarantee that this will work and that there is a 1-500 chance that I will have no vision in the eye they operate on. I am extremely disappointed in the outcome of the procedures to date with my eyesight significantly worse than it was prior to the surgery.

Wow where to begin the staff at Optical Express were soooo friendly right from the start. There was no pressure selling after the free consultation so I was pleased I had time to think things through. The surgery in my case multifocal lens replacement was straight forward everything was explained the entire time during the surgery. I had both eyes done over two days with a follow up on the third day it seems a lot of trips to have but for me I felt that in doing so extra care was being taken that the first eye was ok before proceeding with the second eye giving me lots of reassurance. The after care was brilliant. The result ?.. life changing everything seems so much clearer brighter I am so pleased and would highly recommend having it done. Huge thank you to all the guys at Optical Express Inverness you are amazing xxxx

I had the multi focal lens and initially everything went very well . About a week into the new lenses I suffered swelling and cysts on the cornea, causing blurred and reduced vision. It is explained that this might happen and it?s 400:1 odds against it.
The aftercare was second to none appointments were never an issue and they would see me at the drop of a hat. Consultant referrals and treatment all taken care of. I even had the optician from Inverness drive on hour to my house to drop off medication on a Saturday night.
It?s easy to give a good review when everything goes smoothly, it?s when things don?t go as planned and everyone is doing all they can to rectify the situation that I really saw the benefits of using a well established and reputable opticians.
I now have 20/20 vision and my eyes are improving all the time. A big shout out to everyone at the Inverness branch your care was very much appreciated

From start to finish, the professionalism of the Optical Express teams has been outstanding.
I was treated by calm, reassuring, thorough practitioners throughout.
I've had poor distance eyesight all my life. In recent years my spectacles weren't helping as much as when I was younger, and I was told that I had cataracts in both eyes. I was increasingly aware of the deterioration and decided to do something about it. My first consultation at Inverness was in November and I had the procedure in Edinburgh on 23 January 2025. Just 5 weeks later I have had my final checkup and I can see better than at any time in my life.

Well i had terrible problems ,firstly arrived to my appointment in time in fact 1/2 hr early because of long way i had come only to be rejected after 3hrs through a mistake with them, and as i have to travel 270 mls they said they would cover all cost on a second visit, which did not happen they first offered 1 third and with a lot off to and frowing i managed to get 2 thirds aprox. there is a lot to be said for the NHS If you can wait unfortunately i could not for my sight.
