Visited Matalan Inverness recently and was really impressed with the range of products and the overall shopping experience. The store is well-organised, clean, and easy to navigate. Staff were friendly, helpful, and available when needed without being pushy. Great selection of clothing, homeware, and seasonal items at very reasonable prices. Found exactly what we were looking for and a few extra bargains too! Plenty of parking outside and convenient location. Always a pleasure to shop here?definitely one of the better retail options in Inverness. Looking forward to our next visit!

Overall peasant shopping experience, my only gripe is service at pay point, one cashier, few self scans, which they encourage you to use, so self service it was.

4 stars are only due to staff being pleasant and very friendly. It's a shame that they have replaced all bar one till with the self service machines. As previous have reviewed, you are only able to go to the manned desk if you are paying cash or have a return, irrespective of the size of the shop you have. The self serve machines are set so closely together, you get into other customers personal space and it doesn't make for a comfortable shopping experience. There are usually queues also but this is most likely due to the customer having to do their own scanning of shop and taking their time as they are not retail workers and aren't paid to be either. In terms of quality of clothes, I have found that they have decreased over time. Kids tops shrink in the wash up the way even when done on cold washes so you only get one wear before they are too small. The range of mens clothes as well is lacking but that is quite usual in clothes stores which is a shame
