My husband and I stayed at Castle View Guest House and it was wonderful. Eleanor was the loveliest host (love ya guts)!! She went above and beyond to make sure we were settled in & well taken care of. Eleanor's scones served with an array of her home made jams and clotted cream were divine. Our room was so sweet and comfortable. The location is fantastic!! We would definitely recommend staying here to everyone.

If you?re looking for an authentic boarding house, this is it! Eleanor looks after her guests like a favorite auntie! Everything is quintessentially Scottish! The food is delectable! The location is perfect! Quick walk to train and city Centre. Highly recommend!!!

All around wonderful. Best breakfast in Scotland, was totally spoiled for anything else. Centrally located, great views, room accommodations and service. Would definitely recommend to everyone and come back again.

The lady that runs this place is wonderful very nice, helpful of mapping things out in the city. The rooms were excellent comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast in the morning were the best she makes all types of great food. Stayed there 2 night wish we could of stayed longer. I would highly recommend this place it's in a great location next to the river and in town. Anyone going to inverness its a fantastic place

It would not be an overstatement to say I would return to Inverness just to stay here again! This was our first stop on a trip around the country and it started it off on the perfect note. Eleanor and her staff were lovely and the breakfast was delicious!!! She even accommodated when we needed to leave a bit earlier than the listed breakfast time, which we appreciated immensely. She was an absolute delight, and even cooked around my dairy allergy. Parking was easy with her instructions and the permit, and everything else was very walkable but quiet as I am a sensitive sleeper.

After a difficult journey, Eleanor made us feel welcome and at home. The house is lovingly decorated and the view is gasp-inducingly stunning. The name Castle View is not just a phrase--it's the truth! From the delightful breakfast room, you look across the Ness River directly at the castle. And the breakfasts! Homemade scones, homemade jams, perfectly poached eggs--and all served with love. But what makes Castle View so special is Eleanor. She wants you to enjoy your stay, she wants you to enjoy Inverness, and she wants you to fall in love with Scotland. We did all that--and we'll be back!

We had an amazing two-night stay at Castleview Guesthouse with our family, occupying the Cawdor and Dunrobin rooms. Both were exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The location is perfect?peaceful and scenic?with stunning views of the nearby castle.
What truly made our stay unforgettable was Elenor. She is hands-down the best host we've ever had?warm, thoughtful, and an absolutely remarkable cook. Every breakfast was delicious and made with care. Her kindness and hospitality made us feel completely at home.
We highly recommend Castleview Guesthouse to anyone visiting the area. It?s a gem, and Elenor makes it shine!

This was a last minute find & we were so very happy with our stay. Right in the heart of Inverness, and the accommodations were superb. From the room's coziness, and view of Castle & River Ness, to the amazing details(books & recommendations from Eleanor), fridge with chilled water, amazing cooked to order breakfast, fresh fruit, juice & homemade jams & Scones! So many personal touches. We loved every minute of our time here. Thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Castle View Guest Hotel ? it truly was one of the highlights of our time in Inverness!
First and foremost, Elanor is the hostess with the mostest. She was cheerful, attentive, and incredibly generous with her time and knowledge of the area. She went out of her way to help us with travel plans and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
Breakfast alone is worth the visit ? homemade scones with clotted cream and jam, fresh coffee with perfectly frothed milk, and an extensive menu that included fish, meats, eggs, and continental options. Everything was delicious and so filling it kept us going all day.
Our room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. The decor throughout the building is unique and really matches the historic feel of the property. While it?s a four-story building with no lift, staff were ready and happy to help carry our luggage ? a huge plus.
We loved waking up to breakfast with a stunning view of the river and Inverness Castle. The location is fantastic too ? just a short walk to the town center but tucked away enough to feel like a hidden gem.
There were also so many thoughtful touches ? a hair straightener, curling iron, iron, even food and a nightcap available.
We can?t recommend Castle View enough. Elanor and her team made our stay warm, memorable, and absolutely wonderful. Don?t miss this place if you?re visiting Inverness!

This place is absolutely fantastic. The service is top notch. The breakfast is a spread of delicious Scottish fare and fruits, pastries, and the like. I would highly recommend Castleview Guesthouse!!
